3) Siloam Missionary Homes:100-125 people needed. Last year we
served at Siloam Missionary Homes had
an outdoor cookout with the missionaryfamilies, and facilitated several projects,
utilizing tools, talents, skills, and sweat.
This year we will continue with many
opportunities to serve. Jim Scottand David
Whiteare the point people for this project.
4) Greensboro Pregnancy Care
Center: Saturday, April 16
We will be helping with the set-up and
tear-down for the Greensboro Pregnancy
Care Centers Annual Walk for Life.
Even though it is not the same weekendas our other projects, this is a part of
Cornerstones Family Ministry Weekend.

Cornerstone or for anyone who wantsadditional information to determine if
Cornerstone is what the Lord has in mind
for them. The next Join the Journey

Family Ministry Weekend
April 29th and 30th will be our
annual Family MinistryWeekend.
It is later this year, which should allow
several people to be involved that dont
normally have the opportunity. As of
now, we are looking at three major
project sites, with the possibility of adding
a couple more. Two of the projects are a
direct result of Operation Turkey Leg last
Thanksgiving. The other is a continued
partnership with Siloam Missionary
Homes. Here are the sites, the projectsand the number of people needed:
1) Room at the Inn:25-50 peopleneeded. Ministry at Room at the Inn will
consist of constructing a play area,
constructing an outdoor seating area, and
several landscaping type projects. The
main focus will be to make their outsidearea functional and practical for their
ministry purposes as well as providing a
cookout for the residents and staff. Greg
and Lisa Godatare the point people for
this project.
Room at the Inn is a safe haven and source of
hope for pregnant mothers and their children.
Invoking a Christ-centered approach inspired by
the examples of Mary and Joseph, Room at the
Inn helps young families move toward a new life
of hopeful, independent, and healthy living and
educates the broader community on theimportance of fostering a culture of life.
2) Burmese Refugee Ministry:30-50 people needed. This will happen
here at Cornerstone. The ministry to the
Burmese refugee families typically
happens at the PBA facility but we will be
privileged to host them here. The day will
consist of helping them practice English,
playing games with the kids, building race
cars and holding a race, cooking and
serving food and other options as well.Hilary and David Myers are the point
people for this project.

us with a Pastor who loves the LORD
wholeheartedly and desires to seek God's
guidance for our church! He has shared
God's challenge for us in his teaching on
Joshua, so come and shower God withyour prayers as you

of our church. It will be
a time of praise and

the verses and principles
we have learned so far in the Book of
Joshua. Come pray God's truths for
yourself, family, friends, our church and
the Body of Christ (such as overcoming
fear, pressing forward, claiming our

club. No girls allowed. It has been fun
watching these young men grow over
the past two years. I am amazed at how
smart these guys are. I can tell that the
parents have worked with them on their
reading and on how they should behave.
We have even been able to spend
sometime outside of church. We have
gone and even played Putt-Putt. I would
strongly recommend that if Gods calls
you to do something in the church then
take a look at the childrens ministries.
I think that I started to teach
around four years ago. At first, I
was able to shadow a special young man
named Tyler Jarman. It was one of the
best experiences that I have had. If I
had a day that I felt like not being there;
he was there giving me a hug and
turning my whole day around. Even
when he was having a bad day; he
would away put his arms around me and
tell me thanks for hanging out with
him. I can now walk through church
and he will come up and hug me and
talk. Two years ago he moved up to the
next grade level and they needed a
teacher for the younger boys class.
At first, I wanted to take a break. I felt
that I needed some adult conversation. I
told the head of the department to try
and get someone else and if they
couldnt find anyone then I would teach
the class. Well, I got the chance to teach
the class and it turned out to be ALL
boys. We have named it the boys

The Theme for DNOW 2011 was discovering the
SEQUENCE for RADICALLY FOLLOWING Jesus Christ.
72 high school and middle school students and 14 college stu-
dents began this fast paced - action packed weekend on Friday
March 18 and concluded on Sunday morning March 20. In
that time they had two worship services, 4 Bible Studies and a 4
hour service project. The service projects were raking leaves at
one of our Senior Saints home, spreading mulch at the church, helping Pastor Dave unpacking and delivering set construction
for the Easter Pageant, and debris clean-up on the church
property. DNOW is designed to take the student out their
home environment and stretching them spiritually. It is also
designed to bring students closer together as brothers and sister
in Christ. From what I have seen, DNOW was a great success.

Mentoring Ministry
We are excited to announce the launch
of the CSBC Women's Mentoring
Ministry. Mentoring is "a trusted
partnership through which one person
or several persons impart knowledge
and share wisdom to foster the spiritual
growth of mentee(s) with the focus of
individual growth in an intimate
relationship with Christ, resulting in a
continuous abundant living."
CSBC Women's Mentoring Ministry is
an intentional small group/discipleship
ministry, with a mentor-mentee and
peer-to-peer relationship model just like
Jesus' relationship with his 12 disciples.
The ministry Informational Dinner
will be held at 6:30 PM, Thursday,
May 12, 2011 in the church FLC. All
women of all ages and in all walks of
life are invited. Please come out and
bring a friend. (The event is specifically
required for those intending to
participate in the First Season of
mentoring - groups will be held August
2011-May 2012.)
The Ministry Leaders are Nikki Koberand Natasha S. Robinson. Ministry
Mentors are Charlotte Perkins, Judy
Averitte, Mary Kober, Susan
Blankenship, Carmen Lowery, Selma
Rummage, Nancy Byrd, and Debbie
Hahn.
To assist with planning, please RSVP
(with your name, email address, and
phone number) for this event at the
faithful in difficult times.
Priscilla Shirer teaches from Ephesians
3:20-21 on God's abundance. A
fundamental basis for every believer is
the absolute reality that God can do
whatever He chooses to do. God'sability empowers our faithfulness.
Beth Moore teaches on the topic of
discernment. In these difficult days it is
absolutely essential that we learn to
trust the Holy Spirit to enable us to
determine what is true and what is false.
LDI Wednesdays,6:157:30pmRoom 106/108 Study in Isaiah
Isaiah 40-66 includes words of comfort
and encouragement for the people of
Judah as they were in exile. However,
these words of the Bible are not just for
the people of Judah but for us, today, as
well. This study will look at how Judah
will be completely restored and at
prophecies of the Messiah. Only the
book of Psalms has more New
Testament quotes than Isaiah either
directly or alluded to by Jesus or the
Apostles. These prophecies speak of
Messiah as first the suffering Servant
and then again as the reigning King on
earth who will restore His created order
on earth. This will be an exciting
study of prophecy as we approach thecelebration of Easter.
Joanne Schulze is leading this
magnificent study of the prophecy
of Isaiah. She will also be teaching the
participants a great tool of
Homiletics. This will be a tool that will
help you to dig deeper into the Bible in
your own personal study.
