All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are, therefore, Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 Part of our roles as Christian parents and teachers is to help our students to understand the world we live in from God’s point of view, as revealed in his word. We know that he created all things and that they were good. Even, very good. We also know that human rebellion against him has not only broken our relationships, but it has impacted the whole creation. The good news is that in Christ, “the new creation has come”. Not only have we been accepted into a restored relationship with our heavenly father, he has entrusted us with the “message of reconciliation” - sharing the good news with others. And he has equipped us through his Spirit with giſts so that we might truly be salt and light in a damaged world. We can stand with the oppressed, encourage the faint-hearted, care for the creation, celebrate good things and live joyfully as sons and daughters of the King. Her HSC photomedia body of work has been selected for 2016 ARTEXPRESS in the Art Gallery of NSW. This is the icing on the cake for students who have worked so very hard on their HSC practical work. Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1 Pray for all the finalisation that needs to be done for 2016 classes, staff and schedules. Pray for all students, families and staff as we approach the busy end of the year. Our focus at this assembly will be on celebrating the wonderful opportunities that God has given us over the year to enjoy our learning at ICS.
