On the last Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had introduced the Start-up India, Stand Up India' initiative.
On January 16, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 19-point action plan for start-up enterprises in India. He also announced a self-certification scheme related to nine labour and environment laws. He also said that there would be no inspection of the enterprises during the first three years of the launch.
What is Start up India offering to the Entrepreneurs?
• Stand up India backed up by Department of Financial Services (DFS) intents to bring up Women and SC/ST entrepreneurs. They have planned to support 2.5 lakh borrowers with Bank loans (with at least 2 borrowers in both the category per branch) which can be returned up to seven years.
• PM Modi announced that “There will be no income tax on start-ups’ profits for
three year.”
• You will be able to register a start up in a day using the app. An online portal,
in the shape of a mobile application, will be launched to help start-up founders
to easily register. The app is scheduled to be launched on April 1. You just
have to fill a small application. This mainly tries to reduce the tedious process
of registering.
• A fast track mechanism is to be launched for filing patents for startups,
promised by PM Modi. “There will be no compromise on quality but the idea is
to give the new enterprises opportunities”.
• PM plans to reduce the involvement of state government in the start-ups so
that entrepreneurs can enjoy freedom.
• No tax would be charged on any start-up up to three years from the day of its
establishment once it has been approved by Incubator on a condition that for 3
years it should not declare any dividends and mobilize the same as investment
in company this has been brought to give a strong base to start-ups. Details
are still awaited regarding tax exemption. The picture is set to get clear with
the introduction of Finance Bill 2016.
• Exemption shall be given to persons who have capital gains during the year, if
they have invested such capital gains in the Fund of Funds recognized by the
Government. In addition, existing capital gain tax exemption for investment in
newly formed manufacturing MSMEs by individuals shall be extended to all
Start-ups.
• The government will develop a fund with an initial corpus of Rs 2,500 crore
and a total corpus of Rs 10,000 crore over four years, to support upcoming
start-up enterprises. The Life Insurance Corporation of India will play a major
role in developing this corpus. A committee of private professionals selected
from the start-up industry will manage the fund.
• A National Credit Guarantee Trust Company (NCGTC) is being
conceptualised with a budget of Rs 500 crore per year for the next four years
to support the flow of funds to start-ups.

The art of Gemstone painting was developed in Rajasthan about two hundred years ago. The specialty of this decorative painting style is that the shades of color are provided by the semi-precious stones instead of artificial or vegetable colors. Rajasthan is a rich store house of precious and semiprecious stones. Gemstone Paintings are made of Semi-Precious stones like Agate, Amethyst, Blood-stone, Citrine, Carnelian, Crystal, Garnet, Jade, Jasper, Lapis-lazuli, Malachite, Tiger, and Tourmaline etc. These stones are carefully selected, ground and finally pasted by accomplished and experienced craftsmen on the back side of marble, acrylic, glass sheet. Precision and beauty of these paintings are enhanced by the colors that do not lose their luster for years together. Use of crushed gemstones renders these paintings with their unique color scheme and also long lasting splendor.

The sun can do much more damage than simply give you a painful sunburn. Dermatologists (skin doctors) say that
prolonged exposure to sunlight causes brown spots; red, scaly spots; drying and wrinkling; and, worst of all, skin
cancer.
Exposure to the sun leads to sun tan, sun burn and many other effects. Apart from tanning, the skin is exposed to
harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun, which has several long-term effects, like early formation of lines and wrinkles on
the skin. Sun-exposure can also lead to dark spots or patches.
The skin must be protected with a broad-spectrum sunscreen, which provides protection from both UV-A and UV-B
rays of the sun.
The sun gives off ultraviolet rays. We divide them into categories based on the wavelength. There are UV-A, UV- B
and UV-C rays. Of these, UVC rays are almost completely absorbed by the ozone layer and do not affect the skin.
UVB affects the outer layer of skin and is mainly responsible for sunburns. It is the most intense between the hours
of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm when the sunlight is brightest. UVA rays were once thought to have a minor effect on
skin damage, but now studies are showing that UVA is a major contributor to skin damage.
Sun exposure can also cause loss of moisture from the skin. However, most sunscreens have built-in moisturisers.
So, it is not necessary to apply both moisturiser and sunscreen, unless the skin is very dry."
At the moment, physical protection is the best solution. This can be done by applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
A sunscreen is a product which forms a protective cover between the skin and the sun's rays, while a broad-
spectrum sunscreen is one which provides protection from both UV-A and UV-B rays of the sun. Both UVA and
UVB radiation can cause skin damage, including premature ageing signs. There are many other effects.
It is essential to apply sunscreen, not only on the face, but also on all exposed areas. The back of the neck and
arms are extremely vulnerable to sun damage too. The sunscreen should be applied about 20 minutes before sun-
exposure. If you happen to be in the sun for more than an hour, you should re-apply the sunscreen. A sunscreen
with SPF 15 to 20 is adequate for most skins, but if the skin is more sensitive and tends to burn easily, one should
use a sunscreen with a higher SPF of 30 or 40. Avoid rubbing the sunscreen into the skin. It is better to pat it on."
The sun can also burn the sensitive skin on the lips just as easily as it fires the rest of your body. At worst, the
damage can lead to skin cancer. Use a lip balm with an SPF of at least 15 and reapply often.
Keep in mind that even umbrellas or shade trees provide only moderate protection from ultraviolet light, and they
don't protect you from rays reflected off sand, snow, concrete and many other surfaces. Ultraviolet light isn't
reflected by water, but it can easily penetrate water, so being in the water doesn't protect you, either. Be careful to
protect surfaces, such as the under part of the chin, that are especially vulnerable to reflected light.
Take care on cool, cloudy days. Damaging rays aren't inhibited by clouds, and you can still get burned because
ultraviolet light can penetrate cloud cover. Take precautions even when the sun isn't shining brightly.
Don't let the snow fool you either. During the winter months, many winter recreationists, such as snow skiers, learn
the hard way that high altitudes (which have little atmosphere to filter out the sun's rays), blustery winds, and white
snow can be a painful combination. Cover up with appropriate clothing and a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15.
Don't forget to wear sunglasses, too, to avoid "sun burning" your eyes.

Amazing Facts Interesting Fact on Human body
The cracking sound made by knuckles, necks, backs, and other joints when they’re cracked is the sound of bubbles popping in the joints’ fluid. Is it harmful? Not terribly. But cracking a joint too often can hurt the cords, called ligaments, that surround the joint.
