The HTC Academy has been running since 2004 and has educated thousands of flooring professionals. Many attend academies annually to help them stay up-to-date with the latest flooring techniques, flooring solutions, new grinding machines and diamond tools.

The HTC academy is an excellent forum to ensure you have the appropriate knowledge on all the new flooring concepts which are constantly being developed and is shaped not only towards new participants but also towards customers that have previously participated in a HTC Academy.

The course includes both theory and hands on training. All participants are given the opportunity to try out the latest floor grinding equipment available from HTC that simplifies and streamlines the grinding process.

The Ride To Conquer Cancer

TYROLIT AT CIVENEX - NSW

TYROLIT WA OPEN DAY

01 T____________Y____________R____________O____________L____________I____________T 02 T____________Y____________R____________O____________L____________I____________T

On 16 – 17 August Rob Bolton, a Tyrolit Queensland rep, was one of 1100+ riders that rode 220km from Brisbane to Wivenoe Dam and back in the “Ride to Conquor Cancer” program. The weather conditions were awful – rain, rain and more rain. It was wet, cold and worst of all, windy. Nearly 100mm of rain fell over the period.

Rob said the effort was worthwhile as he rode up and down the hills of outer Brisbane and reflected on the generous donation of the many well wishes who contributed nearly $4600 to cancer research.

Jo Mercer, Simon Scales, Dave Larmour and Ben Whitaker at Tyrolit Australia also gave him great support.

As the photo shows Mapei Australia’s generous gifted a complete riding outfit for the event. The annual event raised $3.8 million for cancer research at the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital. It was very worthwhile.

Rob would like to give a very special thanks to;

Stu Bourke from Danlaid - Mackay

Jason Blundell from Danlaid – Brisbane, and

Marty Nolan from Floortec

Your generous donations are much appreciated and are going to a worthy cause.

In May this year the Tyrolit NSW team attended the CIVENEX expo allowing customers to see our latest products, meet the staff and ask any products related questions.

Tyrolit is excited to announce that DARDA products, spare parts and sales are now available!

The name of “Darda” stands for competence and knowledge in the development, production and sales of environmentally friendly, special hydraulic demolition tools for uncommon problems.

SPLITTERSSplitting Cylinders are a handheld demolition device, which allows the user to perform a controllable material split with the use of hydraulic pressure. Above all they convince, when larger conventional demolition devices are ruled-out because they produce dust, flying debris, vibrations, noiseand possibly exhaust fumes.

COMBI-SHEARS The DARDA Combi-Shears are equipped with updated shear and jaw sets and are especially designed for inside demolition jobs. Available in four different models based on a modular system The Combi-Shears are the perfect complement to the DARDA hydraulic rock and concrete splitters as they can both be connected to a DARDA hydraulic power unit.

POWER UNITS (Air, Electric & Petrol) The new compact power units from DARDA – with three different types of drives – offer the right solution for the most diverse requirements and demands. The previous series has been completely modified and enhanced. The units are equipped with the latest technology which feature convenient, productive and easy to use components.

All rock and concrete splitters as well as the Combi-Shears from DARDA can be combined with any of the three available power units.

JOB STORY Townsvilles Post Office - Terrazzo floor restoration

HTC DX PAD - Range

DX pads - No Water - No Slurry In March Rob Bolton was invited to visit the site of the old Townsvilles post office located in the heart of the CBD. The site had seen better days with the building being closed and becoming run down. So a plan was put in place to preserve and restore this historic building along with the beautifully laid terrazzo floor.

Peter Worbey from Aristocut contacted Rob and the two of them went down to the site. Their job was to show the project manager and developer a sample of what the floor could look like. Using HTC’s new Diamond express pads the floor was transformed, impressing both the developer and the project manager.

HTC’s Diamond express pads are the future of grinding leaving no slurry, using no chemicals and suitable for a large range of machines.
