ReNUH is a non-profitable organisation which provides community development by creating sustainable development programs which focuses on educational support, skills training, self-assistance, group support, and income-generation. Healthcare support activities include programs that increase population access to

services such as healthcare education, provision of basic healthcare, and HIV/AIDS prevention education and treatment. Respond ReNUH’s objectives are: - To increase accessibility of health services to vulnerable people by improving and supporting human resources, facilities and home-based services - To advocate for the health of vulnerable members of society like orphans, child mothers, the disabled and the terminally ill.

Mobile Pharmacy in Northern Uganda Project (MPNUP)

The aim of this project is to provide medical help and ensure health care of

people living in refugee camps around Gulu (25km diameter), Northern Uganda.

Therefore, IPSF and Respond ReNUH will set up a team. The MPNUP team will

consist of a MPNUP Coordinator, a doctor, a driver and 2-3 pharmacy students

who are IPSF members. The MPNUP team will visit camps around Gulu and provide people with basic

medical care and medicines three times a week.

Preparations for the project have already started in February 2009 and will continue until 31 August 2009. The action period will start in September 2009, or in January 2010 at the latest.

HOW AND WHERE TO HELP During preparation period, IPSF is looking for: Students who would become part of Humanitarian Sub-committee in

order to help with the preparations Students/associations who would be ready to help with fundraising in

order to bring this project to life Student volunteers for first 3 months of the action period.

In order to make this project successful, preparations must start as soon as possible. Therefore, the deadline to become part of the Sub-committee or if your organisation would like to help, is 1 May 2009.
