Towards the end of every year across the school we review our successes, the things we might have done better, and plan for the coming year. The staff and BOT look carefully at the teaching and learning that has happened and how well we are moving forward to achieve the broad goals in our strategic plan. The Board of Trustees will be asking for your ideas and opinions later this term. We will be designing a ‘Survey Monkey’ survey for you to complete which will help inform our plans for 2019.

PTA update 30 October 2018

What’s coming up?

● Next PTA meeting – Thursday 8th November – 7pm in the School staff room. Please come and join us. Gala planning!

● Pies, pies, pies!! – thanks to all who have ordered pies. The last day for ordering is today, so it’s not too late. You can email your pie order to [email protected]. Pickup Wednesday 7th Nov 2018 @ School hall 2.30 – 5.30pm

● Working Bee – Sunday 18th November 9am – 1pm – Last year was fun and made such an impact, so we’ve decided to do it again. This year we are ready to attack the junior playground! We want to replace the old sand in the sandpit with beautiful soft beach sand so the kids can dig easier and make fantastic sandcastles! We want to repaint the sandpit and boundary fences and playground with fun colours and build a mini roadway in the grass for the kids to practice their traffic safety while playing!

To make this possible we need your help. There are a variety of jobs to do from digging sand to easy painting, so all ages, skills and abilities are needed.

Children are welcome, they can help with painting or play on the grass (we’ll put out some sports equipment and our toddler play area). Morning tea and lunch will be provided for all helpers and their kids.

Forms for the working bee will be coming home this week. Come join us for a fun day!

● Gala 2019 – We’ve booked in a date for next year’s Gala – Friday 22nd March – so mark it in your calendars. We have had such great feedback about our last Gala, and we are going to use all your suggestions to make our next one even better :o) Have a great week, From Verity and the PTA team
