Wyalong Public School Future Focused, Resilient & InnovativeNewsletter 21st July 2020 George Bland Avenue, Wyalong NSW 2671 Phone: 0269 722 140 email. [email protected] I would like to take the opportunity to thank Linton Howarth from the West Wyalong Aboriginal Lands Council for his visit to our school yesterday. He spoke to staff about the importance of creating a culturally safe environment for Aboriginal students and how we can thread the Aboriginal content into each key learning area. We look forward to continuing our strong partnership with the WWALC in the future. On the last day of Term 2, we held our school cross country at Redman oval. Congratulations to all the participants. All students ran their best and had a great day. Well done to our age champions. Unfortunately there will be no district carnival for our students to attend this year. This term will continue to operate in accordance with the Covid-19 guidelines to ensure we keep our students and staff safe. During this term we will celebrate Education Week and Book week. Students will participate in a zoom debating day with other small schools and we will hold our school athletics carnival. Government guidelines and restrictions will determine if there can be parental involvement. We will keep you informed as soon as we know. We look forward to another term full of learning and opportunities for all our students so that they can shine. Your child's learning and development is our core business, if at any time you wish to discuss your childs progress please dont hesitate to contact the office and arrange a meeting. Have a wonderful week! Lacey Pettit Acting Principal
