Our second P&C meeting for Term 2 is next Monday 31 May. The meeting will start at 6.30pm and is being held in our library or families can join via Zoom. All families are welcome to attend. Our Infants buildings are currently having their roofs replaced. The old tiles are being removed and replaced with Colourbond. Two classrooms at a time are relocating while their roofs are worked on. The classes will relocate to either the Demountable or the Practical Arts room. There are areas of the playground that have restricted access and are fenced off for the safety of our children, staff and families. Congratulations to our Debating team on their success in convincing the Adjudicator that ‘We should play sport outside school’. The team presented strong arguments and spoke convincingly throughout the debate. Well done to our soccer teams on their effort at the Soccer Knockout day last Friday. The teams played to the best of their ability and displayed wonderful sportsmanship on the day. A notification was placed up on our Facebook page about the Fathering Project. We are launching the project on Monday 7 June. The launch will take place in our hall and begin at 6.30pm. The aim of the Fathering Project is to build stronger families and communities by giving men the resources, guidance and support they need to take on the responsibilities of engaged parenting. There is a QR code that dads/grandads/stepdads can scan to join the group. They then click on the ‘My Dads Group’ tab to RSVP for the launch. Enjoy the week.
