29th NovemberRoyal Bank of Scotland delegation visited the Bangalore Warehouse on 29th November, to interact with Startups and explore potential collaboration. Simon Eacott - Head of Payments Product Development and Innovation, Global, Pete Coleman - Head of Payments Operations, Global, and Sunil Kumar - Head of Payments Change, India, were part of the delegation that interacted with JustPay, Artivatic.ai, Gumption Labs, Blu Pay & Tone Tag.
13th NovemberA Global CIO Delegation of 7 Canadian Banks was hosted at the Bangalore Warehouse on 13th November. The team was excited to learn about the tech startup ecosystem in India and found the visit informative and apt as their first exposure to technology and banking outside of Canada. Owing to their recent initiative to revamp their systems, the CIOs were interested in exploring synergies with relevant startups (Scalend). The delegation included representatives from Central 1, Everlink Payments, Gulf and Fraser Credit Union, Westminister Credit Union, Prospera Credit Union and Sunshine Coast Credit Union.

27th NovemberNIPP hosted Fidelity Investments India’s Leadership delegation from Ireland at the Bangalore Warehouse on 27th November. Fintech startups such as Tookitaki, GIEOM, and CLAP Research pitched their solutions to the team, for which they received positive feedback.

15th NovemberA delegation of 10 Senior Leaders from Sony was hosted at the 10,000 Startups Warehouse, in Bangalore, to meet startups catering to solutions in Media & Entertainment (analytics, talent identification, blockchain solutions etc.). Startups that presented their solution included, Formcept, Murmur, ComicFlix and MyMovieMatrix.

A Glimpse into our Exclusive Pitch Sessions
3rd December
A pitch session was organised for Maruti Suzuki MAIL Team (Maruti Suzuki's
Corporate Accelerator) to meet startups catering to solutions in Mobility (AI, vehicle safety/diagnostics, railroad logistics, rural sales & outreach,
supply chain management etc.). Leaders who attended the session
included Noritaka Wakuda – SMC Advisor, Rohan Chhatwal – Department
Head -New Projects (Innovation) and Ravneek Wadhwa – Project Lead for
MAIL from Maruti Suzuki, along with Vikram Upadhyaya – Chief Mentor &
Accelerator Evangelist and Anurag Kapoor – Managing Director from GHV
Accelerator. A total of 11 startups showcased their solutions to the team
from MAIL (Mobility & Automobile Innovation Lab), for the opportunity of
being directly on-boarded for their 3rd cohort. The startups included
Hardskills, Vidzai, Camfy Vision, Unboxrobotics, 1Bridge, Daddys Road, WebMOBI, Headway.ai, ezTelly, Scapic and Cogniwide Solutions. Some of
them could really impress the team and things moved forward in a positive
direction. A win –win for all.

Credit Suisse SET Framework – ‘Engage’ Phase
Further to the success of the Credit Suisse Startups Conclave (6th July in Pune),
and the ongoing SET Framework, NIPP has actively been facilitating the ‘Engage’ phase of the initiative by organising weekly connects with specific startups. The
connects have spurred the pace of the framework and as many as 26 startups have progressed to having detailed discussions regarding the use-cases under
focus.

KONE FlowLabs APAC Startups Engagement
NIPP has been working on a unique engagement model with its partner, KONE
– a first time initiative of scouting ‘Ecosystem Partners’ in the Asia Pacific region, for 8 unique use-cases related to ‘Vertical Transport & People Flow’. The list of 120+ startups that have been curated for the same have received
notable feedback from KONE, with face-to-face meetings having been
facilitated with select Startups. KONE is currently exploring more technology
providers in the Indian geography.
Swiss Re C-Suite Event
NIPP assisted Swiss Re with their C-Suite event, to explore the latest
InsurTech trends in India. The event included knowledge experts, who
shared their insights on the challenges and opportunities of creating a
conducive environment that nurtures insurance innovation for greater
success in India. Swiss Re's Asia Pacific P&C Management team along
with Swiss Re India Branch leadership team were present at the event,
where CarIQ, StellApps and Artivatic showcased their solutions.

Swiss Re Bootcamp
Following the success of last year, Swiss Re organised their annual Bootcamp
during November ‘19. Swiss Re employees across functions came together and
brainstormed on various ideas to shortlist top 5 problem statements/ use-cases
based on which they engaged with Start-ups. The startups participated in a
F2F/virtual pitch session on 20th November to explore possibilities for further
engagement/PoC. The startups included ELSEQ, PRM Fincon, Alpha Cloud Labs, UniQreate, Bellurbis, Orcaso, NeverGrowUp, Haptik and Understand Better (Skcript).

Fidelity Assist-athon
11th
DecNIPP conducted a unique and exciting ideathon - #FidelityAssisTathon 2019, for Fidelity Investments, with the aim to create a platform for startups
to explore new opportunities in the space of accessibility and assistive tech-
nology. The ideathon received 35 applications between October & November,
with 6 finalists being shortlisted on the basis of a video pitch. During the
finale on 10th & 11th December, Vidzai was declared the winner and awarded
a cash prize of Rs.3 lacs while Senseforth was declared the runners up and
received prize money of Rs.1.5 lacs.
Outcomes
● Identification of innovative and scalable Assistive Tech solutions to help people with cognitive disabilities achieve independence in financial matters
● Fostering collaboration between Fidelity and Start-ups /Academia in India
● Exploring opportunities for co-creating innovative solutions, proof of concepts, pilots and solving problems

An Innovation closed-door Roundtable was conducted for Airbus at the
Bangalore Warehouse on 15th November, where prominent leaders showed
active participation. Senior representatives who were present from various
top corporates included Grazia Vittadini - CTO, Airbus, Anand Stanely - MD & President, Airbus India, Denis Bertin - COO, Airbus India, Raghavan Iyer - MD, Accenture’s Advanced Technology Centre India, Dr. Rohini Srivathsa - CTO, Microsoft India, Ramkumar Narayanan - VP Technology and Managing Site Director R&D, VMware, K R Sanjiv - CTO, Wipro Limited and Kritika Murugesan, Director, NASSCOM 10,000 Startups. After an introduction to

The awards constituted by the Ministry of electronics and IT, highlights the work done specifically by women founded and run companies in the areas of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and Virtual Reality, among others. The Women Entrepreneur Awards is a remarkable mission to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of women in India, and attracted 600+ applications in the 2019 edition, with 6 startups shortlisted as the winners.
