you.

Year 5 Orienteering
By Max Austen, Year 5
On Friday 16th March, Year 5 went on a
trip to the UCLAN Sports arena to take part in an orient-
eering event and some other team activities like human
bowling, the ghostbuster game, the rebound catch
game and much more. In my opinion, it was one of the
best experiences of my time at New Longton. Whilst we
were doing the Orienteering, it was quite difficult to find
so many checkpoints. The checkpoints were scattered all
over the sports arena so it was hard to find them and
they made it even harder by making the map huge. It
was quite an exhausting day but it was definitely worth
it: after all, we had fun. Finally, when we were all drained,
we went in one of the
UCLAN halls to find out
the results: Group A
came third out of the
South Ribble schools.
Summer Uniform Girls are very welcome to wear their summer dresses from next term. We wear the light blue checked dresses. These must be worn with white socks on-ly and with shoes, not sandals. Many thanks.
