YEAR 1 AND YEAR 2 VISIT TOTATTENHALL
Well done to all the Year 1 and Year 2
for having such a wonderful time in
Tattenhall this week and thank you to
the teachers for planning all the
activities.
We were
blessed
with lovely
sunny
weather,
meaning
that wecould enjoy
ice creams
at
Tattenhall
Ice Cream
Farm, walks
around
Tattenhall
and playing
on the activities at the Centre. The
children also took part in art and
dance activities and enjoyed a
wonderful show about Creepy
Crawlies!
ASHTON HAYES PRIMARY SCHOOL
NEWS
ISSUE 12 / SPRING TERM 2013 / MONDAY 18TH MARCH 2013
The children were really sensiblegoing to sleep at night and slept until
6am...not too bad!
RED NOSE DAY
The children have had a wonderful
day, enjoying dressing up and having
fun. Many thanks for all your hard
work with costumes etc.
We raised over 140 for Red Nose
Day
I would like to apologise
about the short notice that
many parents have spoken to
me about for this event. Mrs
S Evans sent an email out to
children via the Learning
Platform; however, I now
realise that this was not
effective.
COMMUNICATIONWith the thoughts
above in mind, and
having spoken to a
number of parents
regarding the
communication from
school, I have many
positive comments
about being kept informed via my
newsletter and through emails and
texts. However, I have an increasingnumber of parents who dont feel
that the communication from school
is effective, or that it is too last
minute. Also that too many texts arebeing sent out. Please be assured that
I am looking into this and working with
staff to ensure that sufficient notice
is given and that appropriate means of
communication are used.
I would be grateful for any feedback,
both positive and negative.
PTFA NEWS
During the past week, the PTFA have
bought two more iPads for the schooland have also invested 1000 towards
the cost of a play surface for the new
play equipment (school will contribute
towards the rest of the cost). We
hope this will be installed over Easter.
This will allow the children to play,
even when the grass is wet.
Many thanks for all your support with
the money you give to
the PTFA - I know that
the children really
appreciate all the extra
things that can be
bought for them.
Our annual PTFA Easter
Egg hunt is being held
on Sunday 24th March,
2pm to 4pm. Tickets
are just 2.50 which
includes a map to follow
our rainbow trail aroundthe village with a chocolate Easter
Egg at the end. The trail starts and
finishes at the school where we will
also have refreshments, cakes,
hotdogs, crafts, a raffle amongst
other fun and games. This is a lovely
event and everyone is welcome so
please bring along your family and
friends. As always we would be
grateful for donations of cakes to sell
on the day. We would also welcome
any offers of help on the day. If youcan spare half an hour and would like
to help, please contact Nicole Wright
on 07976 905946.
