issues and create partnerships and strategies to resolve those issues. The Council is a collaboration of city employees, private businesses and not-for-profit organizations working together on areas of need for our local seniors. Through the work of the Council on Quality Aging, Winter Haven is proud to have joined the WHO/AARP Network of Age Friendly Communities. This is a 3-5 year process to assess, plan and implement steps to make Winter Haven a community that welcomes and appropriately accommodates older generations. The first step is to assess Winter Haven’s current status of Age Friendliness, and we need your help to establish that baseline. In1891, the opulent Tampa Bay Hotel opened its doors with impressive reviews from majornewspapers, including The New York Times. Discover how Plant's unique architectural designand thoughtfully landscaped gardens created a wonderland for Gilded Age travelers.
