ASIATEC2011 Organizing Committee was held over eight times for ASIATEC 2011of preparations in 2010, and the steering committee carried it out in that time.In addition, the seminor of April 11 was postponed by East Japan great earthquake disaster.A contribution was sent to the Japanese Red Cross Society from Mizuho Bank, ordinary account 2188729 to the victim of the East Japan

earthquake disaster mentioned above as SPE Japan Section.It is given to people suffered from by East Japan great

earthquake disaster heartily.

The main events of 2010 was as follows:ASIATEC2011 was opened on 15,16 February, 2011.The board of director of July 16, 2010, the member general meeting of August 10, 2010, the next year event committee meeting June 16, 2011 were performed in the management of the Japan Section. The steering committee opened eight times with ASIATEC2011 Organizing Committee simultaneously.The regular seminor carried out four times:①ANTEC2010 introduction seminar (plan by Ito) of

August 10, 2010.②In the present & the future of the non-petroleum plastics (plan by Nagata) of October 13, 2010. ③The second energy connection plastic material seminar (plan of Baba) of December 10, 2010. ④Plastics for the fourth electronic equipment (plan of Ogiwara) of June 17, 2011.

Mr.Russell Broome of President Elect was reached from the headquarters and held ASIATEC2011 as an international conference on 15,16 February, 2011. The participation number of people was approximately 110 people, (any place other than Japan S.Korea, China, USA, Germany, Thailand, Canada, France, Turky,SaudiArabia,Hongkong,Taiwan).

The settlement of accounts of 2010 was the black of about 710,000 yen including the settlement of accounts of ASIATEC2011. Oida changed the officer of 2011 to Kitano (Treasurer), and Tashiro changed to Kim (Secretary), Inoue were retired. Tashiro is in charge of News Letter Editor with a Web editor sequentially. Kutsuru participated in the Steering committee.Seven times of seminor is planned in 2011.

We could finish the big event ,Asiatec2011 successfully with cooperation of members. The international conference of 110 participation including 40 from the foreign countries was thought one proof that plastic in Asia had been watched by with interest. Over all of production, processing, consumption in the plastic industry continue to transfers from the developed country to the developing country around Asia. It may be said that there is the Japanese plastics industry in the suitable geographical convenience in such a trend. A foreseeable manager can watch in the developing country which the consumption enlarges if this changes a viewpoint. And he accelerate an advance to there. A lot of politician and industrialists which have been addicted to protection of the vested interest in Japan. I have felt the sign that they miss Asia shift of Japan heavily. It is clear that both of those results bring domestic hollowing out. We fix our eyes on a world tide from the raw materials into a market at the whole world like to this in a change,The technology of the battery is raising a position not only electricity and electronic field., but also energy, car, house, the center of the very large sector development including aquatic resources. The function of position of plastics have been waited for insulating materiala, high-performance film, including the extra-precision molding in addition to the further break through in the field of the supremeness. In industry to advance of the hollowing out of Japan, the technology of the battery is big technology area to continues staying. The result is expected as not only the developed country but also contribution to the human of the whole world to continue population expansion. The quantitative expansion will continue mainly on security of food and the water in the world plastics industry, We,the plastic engineer of SPE Japan Section gueses the end of the technical flow well. And all energy has wanted to be concentrated on running in the top.

2010 Regular meeting SPE Japan Section

If ASIATEC2011 was excluded, the regular meeting was able to carry out only four times of events.The Nano/SPE Joint seminar of February was the adjournment due to Asiatec2011.and the plastics for car seminar of April was postponed due to an earthquake disaster.As a result, except 110 people of Asiatec2011, the total participant was 123 people in 2010.ANTEC2010 introduction seminar in August 2010,the present and the future of the non-petroleum plastics in October,the second energy connection plastics material seminar in December,The 4th Plastics for appliance in June,2011.

Editor’s Script

Tokyo Big Site was wrapped by pure white snow on the morning of February 15, 2011 .However, the attendants increased smoothly, and the conference of 2 days was success. We were hitted by East Japan earthquake disaster at past 3:00 on the afternoon of March 11 not to awake from the lingering sound.We suffered with an earthquake, a tsunami and a radioactivity leak of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant.

After the success of ASIATEC2011, The SPE Japan Section, as a whole, became younger and were able to invite 2011 of the year in the new threshold.
