Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the church house, not a creature was stirring, not even the church mouse. The white fallen snow was the first of the season, the end of the world, Blizzard Bill had just reasoned. The wind how it blew, the roads how icy, I wondered aloud, “Am I the only one crazy enough to be out in this stuff?” (Sorry, back to the poem.) So on I did drive, past the school and the park, arrived at the church, and low, it was dark. As I opened the door, the rush of wind whistled ‘round, with a slam it was over, and silence abound. I thought to myself, how sad and dreary, the church it was still, its life seemed weary. For a moment, I stood in the darkness with grief and fear; wondering where is the church, why is it not here? Then softly, God spoke. The Church it is not missing, or tired and worn, it is alive and vibrant, serving those lost and forlorn. It is shining the light of Jesus, in neighborhoods, workplaces and streets, Bringing hope to the hopeless, and My love to whomever they meet. The Church is not this building, it is not this place, The Church is the people, who generously give, and walk in My grace. In an instant, my spirit was quickened, And I thanked God for reminding me of our purpose, and mission. To Be and Bring Hope, that is our call, May each of us do our part, God bless us all.

Global Ministry Prayer Requests
Pray for Pastor Augus, a Nazarene youth minister serving in Papua New Guinea. He was the driver of a vehicle that struck a child. The child suffered major injuries but will recover. Due to tribal protocols, those responsible for an accident such as this can suffer extreme consequences such as payback assaults and killings. Please be in prayer for the child that was injured, that he recovers fully. Pray for Pastor Augus and all involved in the customary compensation process, that it is resolved peacefully.
Pray for all those who were in the path of Cyclone Evan that roared through Samoa, Tonga, and Fiji as they clean up and return to life as normal as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for all your prayers and support. You all are truly a blessing. Jim & Judy Sanderson and the family of Frasier “Bean” Burt.
Happy New Year
from
Kids Factory!
