Our 3-6 class have worked on their movie making

great day with lots of food and fun activities.

LIBRARY

The Book Fair has been completely finalised and thanks to all the supportive people who

purchased books from the Book Fair the school has profited by $353. This will be used to

purchase awards for the end of year presentations. Once again THANK YOU!

‘UNO’S GARDEN’ written by Graeme Base. When Uno arrives in the

forest one beautiful day, there are many fascinating and extraordi-

nary animals there to greet him. And one entirely unexceptional

Snortlepig. Uno loves the forest so much, he decides to live there.

But, in time a little village frows up around his house. Then a town,

then a city...and soon Uno realises that the animals and plants have

begun to disappear.

“EYE TO EYE’ written by Graeme Base. Imagine you could soar

high in the sky with an eagle or dive into the deep with a

majestic blue whale. Come eye to eye with some of nature’s

most impressive creatures as Graeme Base takes you on a richly

illustrated journey of imagination and possibility.

JOKE OF THE WEEK

As part of the English study of humour, students from the second-

ary classes will be offering a joke of the week for the rest of this

term.

Q: What do you get when you cross a dog with a mosquito?

R: A bloodhound!

The primary school classes have been focusing on

what a picture of a number look like. So, each

week we will put a number up on our facebook

page and we would like the community to post

what they think or know about that number.

In English we have been looking at different types of humour and how it can be used. In class, all students have created advertising campaigns using different methods of communication. They we asked to advertise a product for a company of their choice that was inspired by the Shrek 2 film.

COMMUNITY ITEMS NOTICE

ITEMS FOR PUBLICATION

Items for publication in the school newsletter need to be submitted to the school (via email or in person) by 4pm Wednesday, prior to publication. This will ensure items are included in the next newsletter. Phone - 02 6995 1108Email - [email protected]

Due to large numbers of community advertisements coming into the school to be added to the newsletter, the cost is escalating. We would like to continue to produce large and colourful copies but to make this possible we will need to charge a fee for each advertisement. $5.00 for a one off or $20 for a month.
