There were a variety of long, mental questions and since they contained complex biology and chemistry, a mentor was required. Everybodys partner happened to be year 11 students that helped us. Luckily it was easy to adjust to. My mentor and I spent quite a lot of time on the first questions but sped through the rest as time was running out. To my relief we finished on the buzzer! Due to the short time line they were also playing the Regional finals as well - one step away from the States! The girls won their first game against St Kevins, lost their second game to Beaconhills and then de- feated Westall Primary School. These 2 wins, allowed them to make it to the Division final against Bea- conhills Primary school - a game that they won! This meant that they then had the opportunity to play in the Regional final against Tucker Road Primary School. They were unfortunately beaten in this match! The girls should be very proud of their efforts this year and we thank Mr Gould for coaching them on the day.

Art Competition Winners The traditional Art competition started by Ms Mac our former Art teacher - has continued under the leadership of Ms Docherty and Mrs Saunders. There were again hundreds of entries from children in Prep to Year 6, with a high standard of Art works being presented.

Ms Docherty and Mrs Saunders were thrilled with the response to this program and the quality of art works were as usual, phenomenal.

Over the last couple of weeks there have been various special assemblies to present the winners of the 2018 Art competition.

As you could expect the caliber of art work made the awarding of prizes quite difficult for Ms Do-cherty and Mrs Saunders.

Congratulations to all the winning entries that are displayed below.
