News from Glenreagh Public School PBP Shop for Schools Promotion On Friday 11th April Caroline Bleechmore from PBP Centre Management visited our school to present the school with the prize that was won during the recent PBP Shop for Schools Promotion. The Prize was valued over $2400. The prize consisted of the following items: Terry White Chemists Gift Basket, Redz Hair Studio Gift Basket, Just Cuts Vouchers, Prouds Ladies & Mens Watches, Dymocks Vouchers, The Athletes Foot Gift Voucher and a Giant Chess Set from Curious Minds. Considering that we are situated between the two shopping centres of Coffs Harbour and Graf-ton our school achieved a fantastic result. Thank you everyone who supported us.

Orara Valley Cross Country A number of Glenreagh students represented the school at the Orara Valley Cross Country. Thanks to all parents who assisted on the day and to the students who achieved some wonderful results and personal bests. Peter Cohen was awarded the 11 yrs Champion Trophy and the other results are as follows: 8/9 yrs Girls & Boys - Molly Cohen (4th), Mabel Hartnett-Ball (5th), Matilda Ash (12th), Riley Elks (7th); 10 yrs Boys - Aden Blackburn (7th); 11 yrs Girls/Boys - Eden Green (9th), Peter Cohen (1st), Ned Paul (4th), Logan Debomford (5th), Gabriel Botto (9th); 12/13 girls - Tayla Nicol (6th), Macy Hooklyn (9th).

Cross Country Champion Runner Peter Cohen certainly did have winged feet when he won the 11 yrs boys O.V. Cross Country race. Peter goes on to race at the District Cross Country to be held at Woolgoolga next term. We wish him all the best.

Easter Hat Parade and Easter Bunny Visit On the last Thursday of term the children were joined by the children of the Glenreagh Preschool and they celebrated Easter with an Easter Hat Parade. There were lots of hat creations and wonderful examples of fine millinery. There were many happy faces as well when Easter Bunny hopped by with a huge basket of Easter Eggs to share with the children.

Assemblies At their assembly the children of 5/6W exhibited portraits of themselves. Different techniques were carried out on their works of art and fantastic results were achieved.

The !/2K children were multi-talented. The girls sang the Riptide Song and whole class performed the Gummy Bear dance. They then showed their ’Me’ boxes with the treasures of their childhood and their family trees.
