Where’s My EMV Chip Card? You might be asking yourself, “Where’s my Grand Savings Bank EMV chip card? What is it even?” ese are great questions and we have the answers for you. EMV (Europay, Mastercard, Visa) is a new global standard smart chip on debit and credit cards that make point-of-sale transactions much more secure against fraud. e small computer chip on the card creates a unique code for each transaction at a chip-enabled terminal. Other countries like the U.K., Canada and Australia have been using this payment standard for several years and have seen an enormous decrease in counterfeit fraud. We are excited for this new worldwide standard because it means less fraud for everyone. Replacing debit and credit cards and every payment terminal in the U.S. is a process that can’t happen overnight. ink about every place where you swipe your card; gas stations, retail stores, ATMs, etc. ere are approximately 1.2 billion credit and debit cards and 12 million point-of-sale terminals that need to be updated. Merchants and banks have begun replacing their technology and will continue to do so over the next year. Payment terminals that have been updated to accept chip-enabled cards still accept current debit cards, too. You may continue to swipe your current debit card as normal while the technology transitions. Susie Dilbeck, Employee of the Month

How long have you worked at Grand Savings Bank and what is your role? I have worked for the bank for 12 years. During that time, I’ve been a teller, new accounts rep, loan assistant, administrative assistant and a consumer loan processor.

What’s your favorite part about your job? My favorite part about my job is helping our customers.

What’s your favorite GSB memory? When the Jay branch moved into their new building.

Tell us about your family. I’ve been married to Mike for 36 years. He’s the Superintendent for the Oklahoma State Highway Department. We have one son, Rowdy, who is a teacher for Bixby Schools in Tulsa. Our daughter-in-law is a PA in Tulsa.

We have a two-year-old grandson, Jase.

What are your hobbies? My grandson, Jase, riding our Harley and my �ower gardens.

What’s something interesting about you that most people don’t know? Before I started working for Grand Savings Bank, I owned and ran a breeder hen farm for 13 years. I grew for Tyson foods. I would gather a million eggs a year by hand.
