News and Events Yardley: Yes Please! Who'd have thought it: Yardley, once the failsafe back-up for aunts' Christmas presents, is making a cool comeback with some gorgeous new products that all the beauty editors are begging to road-test. The re-launch happens in mid-September, where you'll see a subtle modern update in packaging and formulas, whilst the traditional theme still remains. Created some 240 years ago, the British beauty brand might have had a slip in the style stakes but a resurgence in classic, pampering and pretty beauty treats is putting it firmly on our own Christmas list. The singular-flower eau de toilettes have 'wedding' written all over them. Choose from English Lavender, English Rose, Lily of the Valley, Peony or Iris, or the brand new Orange Blossom or newly relaunched April Violets: each smells highly authentic, and comes with layering accoutrements like soaps and talcum powder. Our stand-out favourite is Iris: it's soft and floral but not too sweet, with a very faint sexy/powdery background. Brides' fashion editor Bryony - a loyal wearer of Prada Infusion d'Iris (RRP £47.50) - gave this £9.95 version a big thumbs up saying it was 'delicious' and 'absolutely beautiful' - praise indeed! Buy from Boots, Lloyds and independent chemists nationwide from mid-September, or call 01753 753420 01753 753420 for more information.
