“STRIKING PIAZZAS OF SICILY” BY ARMANDO ROTOLETTIPhotography ExhibitionArmando Rotoletti was born in Messina, Italy. With his most recent publication, Sicilia in Piazza (Striking Piazzas of Sicily, 2017), he continued investigating the land of Sicily by working on a complex project that lead him to photograph 82 squares of famous cities and other lesser known towns, by following a rigorous method of emptying the piazzas from cars and precarious installations: a magnificent fresco of these spaces, free -at least for the duration of a shot- from the visual conditioning of our age.

VESUVIUS ENSEMBLE -CONCERT #1: The Spider’s Web: Tarantellas from the Ancient & Modern WorldsOn the occasion of 19th Edition of the Week of Italian Language in the World - “L’Italiano sul Palcoscenico” - Edizione 2019. The first performance of Vesuvius Ensemble’s 2019/2020 season will focus on the TARANTELLA: the tarantella is more than a musical genre – it is the musical expression of tarantism, which some describe more as a medical philosophy or even a world view. Joined by special guests, including Tafelmusik director Elisa Citterio, Vesuvius spins a fascinating tale about the dance’s past, present, and future that will leave you feeling thoroughly detoxified.
