After the training they organize a new association for Fish Processing with 35 members.

POST HARVEST TECHNOLOGY: FISH PROCESSING FISHERIES AND COASTAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT DIVISION

Post harvest technology: fish processing as one of the project of fisheries division is mandated to provide technical assistance ,through trainings, workshops, lectures and hands on demo, to empower men and women of the local units of Oriental Mindoro. Thus, this project carried out several activities for year 2015.Some of the trainings conducted was in coordination of partner agencies likeMalampaya Foundation Inc. As partners, MFI and Fisheries and CRM Division worked with the communities to enhance and empower the people to become productive members of the community and assist in improving environmental protection and conservation. The MFI provides raw materials and supplies for the beneficiaries of six (6) barangays involved.Seaweeds Processing Training in Seaweeds Processing Center in Barangay Balatasan, Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro. Products produce are ; seaweeds candies, pickles, noodles and jams.

Some of the products produced from the trainings…..smoked fish, bagoong, candies, fish patties, fish Nuggets,tuna rolls, noodles,dilis delicacies, among others.

Fish Processing Training in Brgy. Sta. Theresa and Agsalin, Gloria, Oriental Mindoro, both barangay was attended by 35 beneficiaries all are members of the association.
