European Advanced Stifle Arthroscopy Course, Newmarket, UK 31 August & 1 September 201831 August Speakers Wayne McIlwraith, BVSc, PhD, FRCVS, DSc, Dr. med vet (hc), Dvetmed (hc), Dip ACVS, ACVS MR, Professor of Surgery and Director of Orthopaedic Research Center Colorado State University, is the pioneer of equine arthroscopy and is the senior author of Diagnostic & Surgical Arthroscopy in the Horse. Alan Nixon, BVSc, MS, Dip ACVS, Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cornell University, specialises in minimally invasive orthopaedic surgery with an emphasis on regenerative medicine. He is a co-author of the 3 rd & 4 th Edition of Diagnostic & Surgical Arthroscopy in the Horse. David Frisbie, DVM, PhD, MS, DACVSMR, Dip ACVS, Professor of Equine Surgery at Colorado State University, has published extensively equine orthopaedics including development of needlescope procedures. Matthew Smith, BVetMed Dip ECVS, DEO, MRCVS, Specialist Surgeon at Newmarket Equine Hospital has contributed to the development of technical advances in arthroscopy and has widely published in the area. Ian Wright, MA, VetMB, DEO, Dip ECVS, Hon FRCVS, Newmarket Equine Hospital, Suffolk, UK has published numerous minimally invasive techniques and is a co- author of the 3 rd & 4 th Edition of Diagnostic & Surgical Arthroscopy in the Horse. Course Information A comprehensive two day advanced course in stifle arthroscopy. All lectures will be supported by “hands on” wet lab experience using Storz specialist teaching equipment. Course Fees Pre-registration is required. The registration fee for the course is £2500 + VAT (Total payable £3000) per delegate or £2000 + VAT (Total payable £2400) for ECVS/ACVS Residents Please note UK VAT is payable for all participants including EU citizens. The cost of the course includes lectures, wet labs, coffee, lunch and tea on both days, and a course dinner on Friday evening. Accommodation is not included (see below). Cancellations Fees will not be refunded if cancellation is made within 30 days of commencement of the course. Booked places can be transferred to another person. Accommodation Participants are responsible for making their own hotel bookings. A list of accommodation is available on request.
