Dear Newman Community Members, Having completed our 2013-2014 fiscal year it is an appro-priate time to share with you Newman’s financial report. As we journey through another fiscal year at the Newman Catholic Center there are many people I wish to thank: ♦ Members of Newman’s Finance Council - their expertise, guid-

ance and oversight is essential to the mission of Newman and to the transparency that we as a vital organization on the UMass campus strive,

♦ You, our permanent community members - your faithful pres-ence and support assist in making everything that happens at Newman a reality. We couldn’t do what we need to do it without your gifts of time, talent and treasure,

♦ Our creative and committed staff - supporting a 60,000 square foot building is no easy task...Fr. Jon, Deacons Richard and Lucien, David, Ginny, Jo-Ann and Luis do it every day with grace, talent and a genuine love of Newman,

♦ Our student leaders both with the Newman Student Association and the Esselen Peer Ministers - they are remarkable men and women and give each of us the motivation and sustenance to continue this ministry,

♦ Our Development Board members - they continue to work with Newman creating that legacy that will live on and support many generations of students, faculty and staff,

♦ Our Bishop, Mitchell Rozanski and his diocesan staff members - we continue to reap the financial benefits of their hard work and prayers through the Annual Catholic Appeal and the Future of Hope Capital Campaign,

Much has been accomplished over the past year and much needs to happen. We never stop growing...not for a moment – there is always a student who needs our support, love, care and concern.
