2012 Annual

Report

Thank you, donors, for your support - you are

our heroes! Because ofyour continued support,

NewDay marched through 2012 triumphantly.We could not have done it without you! You wil/seefrom our numbers that in Tarrant County we

added another fatherhood program, FAC T(Fathers and Children Together) and expanded

other services to 2 more counties. Aside fromTarrant County, we provided fatherhood classes

to Child Welfare in Denton and Collin Counties.

The results were amazing: Fathers becomingresponsibly involved in their children's lives. Byyears' end, we were hosting 7 fatherhood classes

per week: 4 in Tarrant, 2 in Denton and 1 in Col-lin.

At the Juvenile Justice Center (JJC), in spite of apopulation increase in Tarrant, the average week-ly population at the JJC decreased from the mid70's in 2009 to an average of 48 in 2012. This is

good news! Chaplains, Mike Brown and KristiLambert, hopefully played a small part in this!Sadly, in the Family Courts, couples are still sep-

arating at an alarming rate. Divorces have notincreased, however, since many couples co-habitate and then separate. Many come to courtchoosing to represent themselves for financialreasons. Pro Se filings in2012 were fast ap-

proaching the 70Yo mark. Sadly, the children are

the ones who suffer the most.

Needless to say, Don Mansfield, our Advocate/Chaplain had more work than he could handle!

Numbers do not lie and facts are facts. At New-Day, IN 20|2THE FACTS WERE: l) NewDayincreased to a staff of 16; 2) NewDay increased

Fatherhood classes from 3 per week to 7; 3)NewDay, BY FAITH, said "Yes" to working

with victims of domestic violence at One Safe

Place - multiple agencies serving victims of fam-

ily violence and rape under one roof; 4) Next to

Chaplaincy, NewDay had the hardest time fund-

ing Administration - without it, programs cannot

function - as administration is the basket that

holds the fruit; 5) each dollar was stretched to the

max; 6) Finally, 2012 was our busiest year thus

far.

Our vision at NewDay, simply put is: Serve

children by serving families! To serve them

we must sustain NewDay. We use the story ofGideon in the Book of Judges as our marching

orders. It took Gideon and a Corps of 300 to de-

feat the Midianite army. A committed Corps ofpeople giving to NewDay monthly creates sus-

tainabiliry. This NEWDAY CORPS consists ofour individual donors like you, giving monthly,

strengthening the basket. The bottom line is,

families are crying out for someone to help them.

Each soul is priceless! Join the army;join the

movement to redeem families in our community.
