Un fantastico viaggio e mille avventure
attraverso tre Paesi di lingua inglese in tre continenti
NEW COME ALONG, un viaggio e un percorso didatticoconcepiti per lo studio della lingua inglese nella scuola elementare. Questo corso è strutturato in modo graduale, tenendo conto dellefasce d’età degli alunni della scuola elementare e delle indicazionicontenute nei nuovi Programmi Ministeriali, per quanto riguardal’insegnamento della lingua inglese. Il testo diventa uno strumentoindispensabile all’alunno, in quanto fornisce le attività di produzioneorale e scritta, di ascolto e di lettura. Gli esercizi, studiati in mododa sviluppare le quattro abilità, sono graduati, diversificati e coinvolgono attivamente gli studenti.Il progetto si basa su un apprendimento ricorsivo: ogni unitàcostituisce un ambito tematico diverso che presenta nuovi contenuti,lessico e strutture, sistematicamente ripresi e ampliati in unitàsuccessive con una modalità a spirale. Ciò permette il recupero diacquisizioni precedenti che vengono utilizzate in contesti diversi, inun accumulo didatticamente molto efficace.L’idea del viaggio è stata concepita per cercare di motivare glialunni allo studio della lingua inglese, suscitare e sviluppare in essi la consapevolezza dell’esistenza di altre culture e di altri popoli.Così facendo il testo diventa anche un veicolo per la comprensionedella cultura-civiltà dei tre popoli di lingua inglese visitati. Visto che il progetto si propone come un viaggio attraverso trecontinenti, i volumi offrono numerosi spunti per ampliare il discorsoculturale. Si è cercato di proporre situazioni di comunicazione legatea contesti reali che presentino una realtà vicina al mondo infantile e riflettano la cultura inglese, ma che risultino affascinanti e coinvolgenti, così da costituire un “rinforzo positivo” nel processod’apprendimento.I tre amici Mary, Susan e Fred, attraverso le loro avventure, aiutanogli alunni a conoscere i paesaggi, gli usi e i costumi dei vari popoliche incontrano. Tutto è presentato come un vero viaggio.
