Christian Djoos is the son of Per Djoos, who played parts of two seasons with the Rangers (1991-92 and 1992-93).

Henrik Lundqvist and Nicklas Backstrom have represented Sweden in several tournaments, including the Olympics, World Cup of

Hockey, and IIHF World Championship. Lundqvist and Backstrom helped Sweden earn a gold medal at the 2017 IIHF World

Championship and a silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

 Hot Kemper - Michal Kempny has scored the game-winning goal in two straight game for the Capitals (Nov. 21 vs. ChicagoBlackhawks and Nov. 23 vs. Detroit Red Wings). He became the first Capitals defenseman since John Carlson on Dec. 14, 2015 andDec. 16, 2015 to record the game-winning goal in two straight games and just the fifth defenseman in franchise history to accomplishthe feat (Carlson, Dmitry Orlov: Nov. 23 and Nov. 25, 2015, Mike Green: April 11 and April 13, 2013, Kevin Hatcher: Jan. 16 and Jan.19, 1990).
