We are going to London to see how the English

the UK.

There are thousands of people on the Trafalgar Square. They come here every year to meet the NY.

They sing and dance, salute and walk around the huge New Year fur-tree decorated with beautiful toys.

the fur-tree on the main London Square in

1841.

Now the tree comes every year from Norway. It is a present from Norway because England

helped to win the fascists during World War II.

Ded Moroz in England is called Santa Claus. He is with a white beard and wears red clothes. He brings the presents to the

English children. There is a tradition to leave a sock

for the presents during the NY night.

And the tradition to give the New Year cards to the family and friends came

from England, too. This is the first post card made in 1843.
