Visit of Monitoring and Review Team of ICAR

•The Committee appreciated the development madeby university in improving the quality of education

•The Committee recommended E-Learning units formodernization of tea processing unit for valueaddition and Honey Bee Production and ValueAddition worth 1 crore each.

Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav Scheme is being continued inDirectorate and KVKs. Under Mera Gaon Mera Gauravvarious activities like visit to village, trainings, Kisan Goshtisand demonstrations are being conducted. Mobile basedadvisories, literature and input support are also provided tothe farmers, whereas programmes with line deptt.’s are alsobeing organized.

Technologies are disseminated on various aspects likeProtected Cultivation, Mushroom Cultivation, Apiculture,Floriculture etc. Self Help Groups are being formulated andtheir participation is encouraged. Efforts are being made toenhance marketing potential of Self Help Groups.
