Thomas Wolsey: The Rise & FallBy Suzanne Hawkes

Thomas Wolsey – born in Ipswich from humble beginnings rose to become Henry V111’s right hand man and the most powerful force in England – but swept up in the storm of Reformation his career followed a dramatic course to a bitter end.

This play looks at his life through the eyes of George Cavendish of Glemsford Hall, his servant and biographer during his glorious rise and his subsequent battle to survive the turbulence of King Henry’s determination to turn the world upside down in his pursuit of love and an heir.

Performed in the atmospheric surroundings of Wolsey’s own chapel and featuring live music.

Howard goodall

If you liked the book and film, you will love the musical!

Inspired by Erich Segal’s best-selling iconic novel and one of the most romantic films of all time, this life-affirming musical is scored by the Emmy and BAFTA award winning composer Howard Goodall with book and lyrics by Stephen Clark. Love Story transferred to the West End in 2010 following a critically acclaimed sell-out season at the Chichester Festival Theatre.

The story is simple: Oliver Barrett IV went to Harvard and Jenny Cavilleri to Radcliffe. He was rich, she was poor. He was sporty, she played music. They fell in love.

BigIdeas4That which does not kill us makes us stronger.

Growing up, we are often encouraged to reach our fullest potential. But, if what we are capable of becoming keeps rising, keeps multiplying, are we condemning ourselves to a life of endless dissatisfaction?

Young People from the New Wolsey Youth Theatre and Young Company will come together to work with critically acclaimed theatre company Analogue, to explore the expectations on young people today and when those expectations move from motivation to suffocation.

Just 5 days to make the play, 5 days to change the future of theatre for young people, by young people, with young people – forever.
