bumper year with our Stockist Partners and Installers.

In this issue of Mainbeam we introduce the new

Osram Installer Programme aimed at garages and

workshops nationwide in partnership with our Osram

Stockists. The Osram Installer Programme is designed

to give the much needed application and product

information to garages, MOT stations and workshops

to enable them to fit OE quality bulbs with confidence.

Launched very recently the programme already has

many garages 'signed up' with all the benefits that

entails. All Installers will receive a free copy of our

Bulb Fitting DVD detailing how to change and upgrade

bulbs on most makes of car. The DVD also provides

information on headlamp alignment and recommends

Osram products for each application on the vehicle. It

is an invaluable tool especially combined with the

'Approved' website listings, POS packs and

assistance with marketing initiatives. The Osram

Installer Programme is well equipped to assist

garages in increasing their bulb fitment and sales as

well as assisting their customers in making choices.

With the quickly changing market and the growth in

'added value' products and services, we are confident

The LEDambient® range is available now in two different packages. The first is theLEDambient® Interior package complete with a wall washer, two spotlights with lightguides, a remote control, a variety of fixings and a USB cable. The interior packagecan be mounted almost anywhere. The wall washer is perfect for placing centrally inthe car and provides a uniformedlight distribution across a largearea. The spotlights can be usedwith or without the light guidedepending on how and where itis installed. The light guide canbe bent into any space andilluminates tight places and longdistances such as in the doorarm rest or around the edge ofthe seats.

The second package is the LEDambient® Door Entry Ledge(for the door sills). Included in this package are two doorledges, a remote control, a variety of magnetic fixings and aUSB cable. These can only be used in the door sill areas andan application guide is available. The highlight of thispackage is that it can be programmed so that when the cardoors are opened it turns on automatically. Should theinterior package also be installed then this will also illuminatewhen the doors are opened providing the packages havebeen programmed using the remote control.

WIRELESS AMBIENT LIGHTING

Installation is simple.The door entry package is supplied with a number of strong magnets in varioussizes so that it can be installed in a wide range of vehicles. The interior package issupplied with strong velcro fittings so that the wall washers and spotlights can bemounted easily around the vehicle. The velcro and magnets allow for the units tobe removed easily when recharging is required.

Choose a colour to suit your mood.Thanks to the special Osram RGB LEDs used in the LEDambient® range, up to seven colours can be selected using theremote control. Colours include: Red, Green, Blue, Orange, White, Pink and Turquoise, so it is possible to select a colour tosuit your mood.

Recharging and Lifetime.Charging of both packages is easy via a USB cable. The average battery lifetime after a full charge is approximately 48 hoursof continuous usage. If however you have both packages programmed to come on and off with the door entry then normalbattery lifetime can be up to 10 weeks**.

**10 week battery lifetime calculated as 8 cycles per day with 30 seconds each cycle, 1 cycle per week with 30 minutes.

DRLs

Daytime Running Lights, also known as DRLs have been incorporated in newly manufactured cars since February 2011. Osram can offer arange of aftermarket DRL kits to suit all driving requirements and makes and models of vehicles.

Whilst it is not a requirement to have DRLs fitted in the UK, drivers of older vehicles may want to increase their safety on the road or simplywant to achieve that same ‘stand out’ look that DRLs provide. Osram’s DRLs offer that solution. All the DRLs comply with ECE regulationsand are fully road legal for use on public roads.

The kits have all been designed with easy installation in mind and every one includes comprehensive step-by-step fitting instructions.
