New Wellness Program In 2018, our employee health and wellness program Live Well. Work Well., will launch a new wellness tool called Virgin Pulse. It will be a web- based, interactive program that all core employees can participate in. The program will allow you to focus on the healthy habits that are important to you while setting attainable goals. Your healthy behaviors, activities, and programs will earn points that you can redeem for gift cards at popular retailers. Depending on your level of participation, employees on a Mid Coast– Parkview Health medical plan can potentially earn up to $75 in rewards each quarter, while other employees can earn up to $25 each quarter. Gift cards will be ordered on the Virgin Pulse website, and amounts will appear on paychecks for tax purposes. Our wellness team is looking forward to creating customized challenges and programs for you to take part in along the way. Holiday Intuitive Eating We all have our own holiday traditions and ideas about how to stay healthy. But no matter how you celebrate, there is one challenge that nearly everyone faces this time of year: overeating. This holiday season, forget the guilt and resentment that comes with eating too much. Instead, use mindfulness and self-care techniques that minimize overindulgences while still allowing you to enjoy yummy desserts. You may have heard the terms intuitive eating, mindful eating, or hunger cues. These techniques encourage you to eat only until you are satisfied. Mastering these techniques may sound difficult, but with a little practice and added attention during the holidays, it is possible. Inadditiontothenewperimeterroute,anetworkofmulti-usetrailswerecreatedaroundBrunswickLanding.Highlightsincludekid-friendlymountainbiketrails.Thesetrailsareidealforbiking,walking,hiking,snowshoeing,andcross-countryskiing.
