Entwined Hearts

This fun, unique project features piecing with LEMOYNE STARS. It uses many of Deb’s tools and

Technique Sheets, and will be a great chance to practice what you’ve already learned and add some

more goodies to your bag of tricks. This piece will finish at approximately 40” square so it is great for a

table topper or wall hanging.

Tools needed include:

Lemoyne Star Square Squared (regular size)

Technique sheets needed:

This quilt is a bit time consuming because of the many units that make up this pattern, so we have

divided it into two parts. You will need to come to both classes to complete the project. In class, you will

reinforce the basic units you may already know, plus you will learn many new ways to use the tools. It is

recommended that you have at least some familiarity with Deb’s tools for this class.

Pattern is included with the class. In our Simi Valley store.

Presto, Katherine, Lyric, Soprano, Aventura — Basics & Beyond

In this class we will review threading, navigating and machine controls, as well as some of the

more advanced sewing and programming features. We’ll experiment with some of the

specialty stitches and feet included with the machines.

MACHINE TRAINING Learn how to use your sewing machine - everything from maintenance and navigating to decorative

stitches and accessory feet. One hour instruction is available on the third Wednesday of each month.

You may make an appointment at another time if these dates are not convenient, with the understanding that

while we offer one-on-one instruction, interruptions may occur due to the need to assist other customers.

BABY LOCK DESTINY BASICS

Regardless of how long you’ve owned your Destiny, you are sure to want to join Jackie as she

takes you through an introductory class for this machine. You will meet the positioning

sticker, the camera and the laser beam. The agenda for the day also includes a quick

overview of the set up screens, using the sensor pen, the myriad of decorative stitches, embroidery editing

and an intro to the IQ Designer! We will have “exercises” to reinforce your new skills, but no “project”.

Melody brings us another class to expand your skills with “in the hoop” free motion

quilting. The Easy-Connect Quilting files and technique allow you to use your

embroidery machine to get results like you'd see from a long-arm quilter. You’ll leave

this class with a Table Top Quilt Runner that looks like it was quilted on a longarm

FREE Long Arm Round Table -- Getting the design on the quilt.

Whether you own a Sweet 16, a Tiara, or just have an interest in free-motion stitching,

Advanced class this quarter. We will use a “tried and

true” technique—adhesive vinyl—but make a fun

project using the popular large glass blocks with mini-

lights inside. There will be additional charge for the kit

fee this month to cover the extra cost of materials.

This quarter, we have planned a fun class with

etching. This is one of our favorite holiday gift

giving techniques. We’ll etch a holiday themed
