Scene 1

[Narrator, Mother, Red Riding Hood] [Red Riding Hood s home]

Narrator: Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived in a house near the forest.

Whenever she went out, she wore a red riding cloak, so everyone in the village

called her Little Red Riding Hood. After she grew older, people start to call her RedRiding Hood. One morning, Red Riding Hood was called by her mother to do

something for her...

Mother: Come here my daughter. I want you do something for me.

Red Riding Hood: (SHOUTING) Yes Mum. I'm coming!

(After some time...)

Red Riding Hood: Yes?

Mother: Here is a piece of cake and a bottle of wine; take them to your grandmother, she is ill

and weak, and they will do her good. Set out quick, and when you are going, walk nicely

and quietly and do not run off the path, or you may fall and break the bottle; and whenyou go into her room, don't forget to say, "Good morning".

Red Riding Hood: Ok, I will take great care Mum. Grandma lives half a league from the village.

Isn't it right mother?

Mother: Yes. That's where you grandma lives.

Red Riding Hood: Okay Mum. I should leave now so that I can come home early.

Mother: Goodbye! Ahh! Remember not to go to a wrong route and pick some flowers for yourgrandma. Your grandma will be happy enough to see your there with a piece of cake

and a bottle of wine.

Red Riding Hood: Okayyyyyy. I really have to go. See you later Mum, Bye~

[Narrator, Red Riding Hood] [Forest]

Narrator: So, Little Red Riding Hood set off to her Grandma's home. However...

Red Riding Hood: Oh, there's some flower on this path. Let me go and pick some flowers forGrandma (WALK TO THAT PATH AND PICK UP A FLOWER TO SMELL) it

smells refreshing! I think Grandma will find this good. Let me pick some

more...

Red Riding Hood: (Go more in and in) Haha, there's some more inside! Oh wait, how can I walk

back my way to Grandma's house? OH MY GOD! I've lost way to Grandma's

home!!!!!!

Scene 3

[Narrator, Wolf, Red Riding Hood, Huntswoman] [Forest]

(Inside the dark forest)

Red Riding Hood: Oh no, I should have listened to Mama, I shouldn't go to pick flowers!Anybody here? Help!

Narrator: Red Riding Hood walked and walked, but she was totally lost in the deep dark forest.

Suddenly, she heard a strange noise.

Red Riding Hood: Ah! What's that noise? (Bats flew) Arhh!!!

(Accidentally hit a bee hive, bees chasing her)

Red Riding Hood: Arhh!!! HELP!!!

Narrator: At this moment, a wolf came out

Wolf: Hey! Quickly ride on my back!

Red Riding Hood: Ok, thank you!

Narrator: So, the wolf rode Little Red Riding Hood out of the forest to her grandmas house.

Wolf: Ill drop you off here. Its dangerous for me to go inside the village.

Red Riding Hood: Thats ok. I am going to this house anyway. Thank you so much! You have

saved my life! (Kiss the wolf)

Wolf: Oh! It doesnt matter! Youre welcome. I have to go now, bye!

(Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf walked away but she slowly turned back)

Red Riding Hood: Oh! I forgot to ask your name.

Wolf: Just call me Wolf. Bye!

Red Riding Hood: Why dont you have a tea inside?

Wolf: Erm OK!

Narrator: So, Little Red Riding Hood and Wolf go inside her Grandmas house. However,

someone is watching them from the village

Huntswoman: Hahaha! I found you, Wolf! You can never hide from me! Remember today, Wolf,this will be your death date!!! Hahaha!

Scene 4

[Grandma, Wolf, Red Riding Hood, Huntswoman] [Grandmas house]

(In grandmas house)

Red Riding Hood: (boiling the water) So what kind of tea do you like? Theres rose tea, black

tea, green tea, white tea, oolong tea and (interrupted by grandmas cough)

Oh Grandma must has woken up, Wolf Ill go check on my grandma , please

wait here.

(Goes into grandmas room)

Grandma (coughs and wake up) Oh my little girl, its you!

Red Riding Hood: Yes Grandma. I heard from mother that you are ill and weak. Are you alright?

Do you feel bad? How are you feeling? (touches her grandmas forehead) Oh

your forehead feels hot. Are you having a fever?(scared)

Grandma: Im alright! (coughs) Dont worry about me. Old people always feel sick anyway. Our

body just do not function as well as young people like you.

Red Riding Hood: I know but.. I really want to help you.

Grandma : Then go and pour me a cup of oolong tea. I like my tea hot and bitter, okay?

Red Riding Hood: But can you drink tea? You know..(interrupted by wolf)

Wolf: Hey, Im sorry to interrupt but erm..the water is boiled and it almost overfills the pot.

Red Riding Hood and Grandma(frightened and shocked): Oh My My!!

Red Riding Hood: The waters boiled!

Grandma : Its a wolf!!

Grandma: (pointed at the wolf) Why is a wolf inside my house?

Red Riding Hood: Oh its a friend, I met him in the forest. He carried me to your housebecause Im lost.

Grandma: (anxious) Really! (To wolf) You have saved my granddaughter? (Raises her eyebrow)

Wolf: (laughs) Why would I lie?

Red Riding Hood: Its true. He saved me!

Grandma: Well, thank you and have a cup of tea. Go,Red riding Hood, go pour my tea. Remember,

I like my tea hot and bitter.

Red Riding Hood: Yes YesYes

Grandma: Why do you save her?

Wolf: By Her, You mean Red Riding Hood?

Grandma: Who else would I mean? You know the village nearby doesnt like you much because

of the disappearance of a hunter.

Wolf: Well, Red Riding Hood is a pretty girl, being alone in a dangerous forest, who knows whatcan go wrong? Its not wrong that I save her life right?

Grandma: Yeah,but (still very anxious)

Red Riding Hood: Heres the tea. (put down the cups) (Hear some knockings on the door) Oh

someones here, I will open the door.

(Red Riding Hood opens the door and sees the hunter)

Hunter: Well WellWell.. Lets see who is here

[Grandma, Wolf, Red Riding Hood, Huntswoman] [Grandmas house]

(Grandmas house)

Red Riding Hood: Sorry, but who are you?

Huntswoman: (walks into the house) Well, little girl , you see, I have a gun. (Shows her the

gun)The gun is filled with bullets (Shoots the sky) (Sound effect: BANG)Who do

you think I am?

Red Riding Hood: Well, only the guards and the hunters can carry a gun/rifle. So, Im guessing

you are (Interrupted by the Huntswomans laugh)

Huntswoman: (walks to the table and play with a cup) Hahahahaha, you are a clever girl.Obviously, I AM a huntswoman. Now tell me where the wolf is.

Red Riding Hood: Wolf? Oh you mean the friend I met at the forest?

(Grandma enters the stage with a crutch )

Grandma: Oh its you. What brings you to my house? Theres nothing to hunt in the house.

Huntswoman: I wont be so sure about that, grandma. (puts down the cup she is playingwith)You know why Im here. One of my hunters is abducted by a wolf.

Red Riding Hood: Wolf??

Huntswoman: Yes, little girl. So now tell me, where is the wolf that comes home with you?

Red Riding Hood: (uneasy, in a high-pitched voice) Wolf? What wolf?

Huntswoman: (her voice becomes meaner and louder) Dont play games with me little girl. Imean the wolf you have met when you are lost in the forest. The wolf you invite

into your house. The wolf in your grandmas bedroom now. Your little friend, isnt

he? The Wolf.

(Red Riding Hood hides from the huntswomans stare and looks elsewhere)

Grandma: Ok, stop now, stop questioning her. (coughs) You are accusing us of hiding a wolf.

Whats your proof then?

Huntswoman: (smiles) Well, all I could say (pauses for a while) My eyes is the greatest proof

of all.

(grabs Red RidingHoods wrist and points her gun towards Little Red Riding Hoodsforehead)

Tic Tock Tic Tock, the clock is ticking now, grandma, you better bring the wolf or

else I cannot guarantee that peesh the bullet just flow out and hit your preciouslittle granddaughters head.

Scene 6

[Grandma, Wolf/ Boy, Red Riding Hood, Huntswoman] [Grandmas house]

(Grandma is very angry, coughing loudly.The wolf enters the stage)

Huntswoman: Or better yet, the wolf appears itself. So wolf, where did you hide my hunter?

Wolf: Hunter? What hunter? The hunter you claimed to be abducted by wolves? Whats his

name, Alfred?(Smiles) I saw him peacefully drinking a cup of tea in the guardshouse just before I met

Red Riding Hood. To me, it is more like a lame excuse to hunt down us the wolves.(pauses for a while) I mean, you hunters just want to kill us and peel our skin off. Its

the greatest benefit of all, am I right?

Huntswoman: (angry) Dont tell lies, shall we? I dont know where Alfred is, and my goal today

is to kill you, maybe thatsthe best way to show your wolf family that we human

are not so easy to be killed.(points the gun towards the wolf)

Red Riding Hood: (screams) NO!! (struggles against the huntswoman) Stop! Dont kill him. He

has done nothing wrong.

Huntswoman: Nothing wrong? Thousand of years ago, the wolves have killed a lot of the

villagers. This is the reason why guards and hunters are needed in the village.

Although I do admit that cutting your skin off after killing you is a prize for ushunters to gain loads of money, Karma comes around big bad boy. (almost pulls the

trigger)

Wolf: (soft voice) Dont do this, you will feel regret. The wolves have already paid their prize

for killing you people by hiding in the dark, being too scared to come out in the daylight

because of your guns and they havent been able to kill anymore of your people right? If

you think killing me and selling all my skin to businessmen can put out your fire of hatred.

Go on, do that.

Huntswoman: Dont think that I dont dare to do that. (holds her gun with both hands, unaware

that Red Riding Hood has stepped away from her)

(Huntswoman pulls the trigger and shot the wolf)

Red Riding Hood: (screams) Nooooooo..

(Red Riding Hood tries to walk forward but her grandma stops her)

Grandma: Sssh, she still has the gun.

(Red Riding Hood looks up and suddenly so furious)

Red Riding Hood: (Fury) Dont you dare kill my friend. (Rush towards the Huntswoman and took

her gun)You have shot him, but you are not allowed to take his body nor his

skin.

Huntswoman: You! (steps towards Red Riding Hood)

Grandma: (secretly took out her cup and threw it at the hunter. The force is so strong that

the huntswoman faints)No one tries to threat the Riding Hoods. (with confidence,

coughs, coughs)

(Red Riding Hood walks towards the wolf, crying)

Red Riding Hood: (sad) Why? Dont die, I just met you and you are already my friend. Dont try

to walk away from me now. NOOOOOOO.

(Her tears fall onto the wolfs injury, suddenly the lights on the stage flash. The wolf turns

into a human boy. Red Riding Hood is still crying)

Grandma: (points at the wolf(now turned into a boy)) Oh my my, why is there such a handsome

boy lying on the floor of my house?

Red Riding Hood: (looks down) Oh mymy, who are you? Where is my friend, Wolf? (slaps the

boy) Hey who are you? Where is the wolf?

(The boy wakes up and looks at himself)

The boy: No way!!??

Red Riding Hood: Answer me boy.(slaps him again)

The boy: Im the wolf you met in the forest.

Grandma: (hesitate) What? You are the wolf? Now, dont look at me with those puppy eyes, if

you are the wolf, tell me something you know about me.

The boy: (laughs) Well, you like your tea hot and bitter.

Grandma: (mutters) Well that was right.

Red Riding Hood: Wait, I dont believe you. If you are the wolf, why are you a boy now?

Boy: Well, I used to be a boy like this just few years before. One day long ago, I went into the

forest, trying to catch a wolf. Im young and scared. But my dad told me that the skin of awolf worth loads of money and I have to kill it and take its skin so that I will have money to

heal my mothers sickness. (pauses for a while) I did find a wolf, hes injured, very sick. I

took my knife and shove it into its throat. I thought that I could take its skin and sold formoney. But when I tried to cut off his skin, the sky suddenly turned dark and I become

the monster I wanted to cut the skin from.

Red Riding Hood and Grandma: (Took out their handkerchief) Oh that is so touching.

Boy: I should go and visit my father. I hope that hes still alive and strong.

Grandma: What about your mother?

Boy: from what I heard when I was a wolf, an Asian doctor heals my mother. So yeah, Im going

to visit them. Im sure they miss me a lot.

Red Riding Hood (holds the boys sleeves) Wait, will we ever meet again?

Boy: (leans close to Red Riding Hood) Of course we will, Little Red.

Red Riding Hood: Little Red? My names not Little Red.

(Boy suddenly kisses Red Riding Hood. Red Riding Hood stood still.)

Boy: I will be back. (leaves the stage)

Grandma: Are you ok. Girl? (raises her eyebrow) I had the exact same expression when you

grandpa kissed me for the first time. He was such a sweetie.

Red Riding Hood : (dreamy ) Please stops talking grandma.(touches where the wolf kisses her)

Oh my my!!
