B

WELCOME to Our Grand Opening CelebrationFor more than 100 years, UW Health and the University of Wisconsin have

worked to advance the science and delivery of health care. At UW Health at

The American Center, we’re building on that storied tradition and launching

it boldly into the future.

Our building was designed to help us do health care differently. Teams of

associates, physicians and patient and family advisors worked side by side

to create a one-of-a-kind environment. At every stage, we have sought to

forge a new path and arrive at a new approach to health care.

Behind every decision is our commitment to place patients at the center

of their health care experience and to partner with them every step of

the way. That means erasing old boundaries and changing the way we

work together. It means looking beyond today’s health care needs to

help you stay healthy for a lifetime. It means using technology to enhance

communication and bridge distance. It means searching every day for new

ways to achieve the remarkable care you expect from us.

At UW Health, new is our strong suit, an essential part of who we are. At

UW Health at The American Center, we’re in a continual state of renewal,

where in every moment, new starts now.

DESIGNED for Patients by Patients

We believe that health care is all about people – the skill and compassion of associates partnering with

patients and their families to achieve optimal health and wellness. We also know how the environment can

support – or hinder – what people are able to achieve. That’s why we took great care in designing UW Health

at The American Center. We involved patients, associates and physicians, and we visited other organizations

to gather the best ideas we could find.

The result is a campus we’re truly proud of, designed around the needs of patients and families with space

that enables our associates to connect and collaborate.
