Eleven triterpenoid saponins, five triterpenoid monodesmosides, (I) and (II), and six bisdesmosides are isolated from the roots of S. asclepiadea along with one known sa- ponin and two phytoecdysteroids. Sinocrassulosides (Ib), (Ic) and (II) incorporate dif- ferent acyl groups in their glycosidic moieties and additionally, sinocrassulosides (II) contain a novel A-seco aglycone structure. — (ZHAO, J.; NAKAMURA, N.; HATTORI*, M.; YANG, X.-W.; KOMATSU, K.; QIU, M.-H.; Chem.
