DECEMBER THEME: BERNINA GIVES BACK!

Somebody CaresDecember 1Teacher: Maudie BorgetCost: Your timeEvery year, the police get calls to go to homes where there is domestic vio-lence. Sometimes they have to remove children from their homes. In such situ-ations, the children are so traumatized that the police offi cers have started carrying stuffed animals or toys to help comfort the kids. This year, we want to contribute to these situations. For our SewWhatEver night, we will be making simple bags and fi lling them with coloring books, crayons, markers, reading books, etc. When they are all done, we will donate them to the police station so they can hand them out. We will provide everything to make the bags, but we’re hoping that you will donate your time to help us make and stuff them on this night. Please, if you can donate your time and anything else we can put in these bags, we would greatly appreci-ate it! Together we can make a difference. (Please drop all donated items off at our store.)
