Worship Song How Majestic Is Your Name No. 2023

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.

O Lord, we praise your name. O Lord, we magnify your name: Prince of Peace, mighty God; O Lord God Almighty.

Prelude When We All Get to Heaven Arr. Hayes

Hymn of Praise Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God No. 405

1. Seek ye first The kingdom of God and His righteousness And all these things shall be added unto you Allelu Alleluia

2. Ask and it shall be given unto you. Seek and ye shall find Knock and the door shall be opened unto you Allelu Alleluia

Affirmation of Faith A Modern Affirmation

We believe in God the Father, infinite in wisdom, power and love, Whose mercy is over all his works, and whose will is ever directed to his children's good. We believe in Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of Man, the gift of the Father's unfailing grace, the ground of our hope, and the promise of our deliverance from sin and death.

We believe in the Holy Spirit as the divine presence in our lives, whereby we are kept in perpetual remembrance of the truth of Christ, and find strength and help in time of need. We believe that this faith should manifest itself in the service of love as set forth in the example of our blessed Lord, to the end that the kingdom of God may come upon the earth. Amen.

Gloria Patri No. 70

Glory be to the Father And to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, Is now, and ever shall be, World without end. Amen. Amen

Celebrating the Mission

Hymn of Prayer Lead Me, Lord No. 473

1. Lead me, Lord, lead me in Thy righteousness; make thy way plain before my face. For it is thou, Lord, thou, Lord only, that makest me dwell in safety.

Prayer / Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, and the Power and the Glory forever, Amen.

Hymn of Assurance My Hope Is Built No. 368

1. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name.

3. His oath, his covenant, his blood support me in the whelming flood. When all around my soul gives way, he then is all my hope and stay.

Refrain On Christ, the solid rock, I stand; all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand.

4. When he shall come with trumpet sound, O may I then in him be found! Dressed in his righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne! [Refrain]

2. When darkness veils his lovely face, I rest on his unchanging grace; in every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil. [Refrain]

Scripture and Message

Hymn of Discipleship Glorious Things of Thee are Spoken No. 731

1. Glorious things of thee are spoken, Zion, city of our God God, whose word cannot be broken, formed thee for His own abode.

3. Round each habitation hovering, see the cloud and fire appear For a glory and a covering, showing that the Lord is near!

On the Rock of Ages founded, what can shake thy sure repose? With salvation's walls surrounded, thou mayst smile at all thy foes.

Thus deriving from our banner light by night and shade by day, Safe we feed upon the manna which God gives us when we pray.

2. See, the streams of living waters, springing from eternal love, Well supply thy sons and daughters, and all fear of want remove.

4. Blest inhabitants of Zion, washed in our Redeemer's blood; Jesus, whom our souls rely on, makes us monarchs, priests to God.

Who can faint while such a river ever will their thirst assuage? Grace which like the Lord, the Giver, never fails from age to age.

Us, by his great love, he raises, rulers over self to reign, And as priests his solemn praises we for thankful offering bring.

Invitation to Discipleship

Sending Forth Where He Leads Me No. 338 ref

Where he leads me I will follow, Where he leads me I will follow, Where he leads me I will follow, I'll go with him, with him all the way.

Benediction

May the peace of the Lord go with you—wherever he may send you May he guide you through the wilderness; protect you through the storm May he bring you home rejoicing at the wonders he has shown you May he bring you home rejoicing once again into our doors. (Shane Claiborne)
