An important feature of this property lies in its use of eco-friendly heating systems. In the family room (chapel) and the three guest rooms, a geo-thermal system provides continuous and adjustable heating, whilst an air-source system has been used in the two-storey retreat building.

The main building uses oil-fired central heating and in the three ground floor living rooms there are also wood burning stoves which provide a useful and attractive feature.
