NSW ENERGY SYMPOSIUM 2018 ENERGY MARKETS – THE CONSUMER PERSPECTIVEThe ATSE NSW Division will hold a one-day seminar in Sydney on the consumer perspective regarding the future of the National Electricity Market. It will address the key issues facing the industry and will be of interest to investors, policymakers and market participants and is open to the public. It will explore further the challenges identified in our 2017 symposium on the likely shape of the National Energy Market post the Finkel Review. The symposium will focus on customers and in particular how the energy transformation is likely to affect them.

ACCC Chairman Rod Sims will give the keynote address outlining the findings and recommendations of the recently released ACCC review of competition and related issues impacting on consumers in energy markets. Speakers will include Paula Conboy, Chair of the Australian Energy Regulator, and senior executives from energy-intensive industries as well as consumer groups.
