OurMission WHAT GOD IS CALLING US TO DO
PM Series--Joining the Global Church--The evening series focuses on the
Revised Common Lectionary reading from the Prophets. The Lectionary is
used by many parts of the global church to keep a consistent balance of all
parts of scripture. These particular readings keep us focused on sin, re-
pentance, and God's gracious transformation of our lives.

AM Series: The Unexpected King: We continue our look at the book of Matthew by remembering
that Jesus came into the world as King of Kings, but his arrival was unexpected and unassuming.
But it is by this method of arriving that this king began to shape the kingdom he would build. We
meet our unexpected king in our study of the book of Matthew.

Sometimes the plans of man are not God’s plans. When that happens it is comforting to
know He has provided us with the support of friends and family to make it through those
trials. Two surgeries instead of one and seventeen days in the hospital instead of a possi-
ble overnight stay; definitely brought out our Father’s grace and love through you His peo-
ple. Thanks, first and foremost, to the Great Physician for His healing mercies and for the
community of believers wherein He has placed me. It is with a grateful heart that I want to
thank all who prayed, sent cards (many came right at the time they were needed), visited,
brought in food and did my yardwork. Special thanks to Pastor Brian and Harris, Curt and
Candice, and Jason and Jen for their visits and all the other tasks they did to make my re-
turn home easier.
Steve Van Sant
Thank you to family and friends who prayed for me, sent cards and food, and for visits after
my surgery. A special thank you to Pastor Brian and Elder Scott Roose for their visit.
Also thanks for the cards and visits after Leland’s passing. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.
God is faithful and good all the time. Joan Vos
We would like to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers, especially in the last 6
months. 2019 is definitely not what we expected but without the thoughts and prayers of
this community and church we would not have been able to make it through this smoothly.
Thank you so much to all of those that have given us cards, gift cards, money and food, it
was so thoughtful and very appreciated to help us get through the day to day in between
hospital stays. The doctors are content with where we are in treatment and just want to fol-
low up every 3 months to make sure we stay on top of it. Please keep us in your prayers
that this will never come back again. Thank you so much to everyone who gave us cards,
money, gift cards, food and other gifts for Everlea’s birth. Having he in this stage of life
was definitely a blessing but all of your kindness made it even better.
We praise God for where we are at in life, praise Him for the blessings of health, and praise
Him for such a generous church family. Thank you all!
Barry, Kelsie, Addison, Emmalea and Everlea Van Haaften
Thank you to everyone for your prayers, cards, phone calls, food and expressions of con-
cern. Thanks to elder Curt Vos for his visits and calls. May God bless each one of you!
Larry and Joan Pleima
Thank you to our church family for all the anniversary wishes, cards and applause when we
celebrated our 60th anniversary. We really appreciated it and it was special to have all of
our family worship with us. Most of all we thank the Lord for blessing us with 60 years to-
gether.

COMMISSION TO EVERY NATION
Pavlos and Megann Vasileiadou
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to
make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
