In this camp students will play charts of a wide variety of jazz music as well as learn the basics of improvisation. Young Engineers Robotics and STEM Program Grades 1-7WEEK 1: Your child will learn about STEM and Programming concepts and will be challenged to build up to eight (8) different motorized Robotic and Engineering models using patented building and programming kits. While building and programming these models, students will develop logical thinking ability and will learn various engineering concepts like kinetic/potential energy, angular momentum, Newton’s Laws, symmetry/asymmetry, etc. Examples of models students will be building include: power plant, SUV car, crane, windmill, ferris wheel, farming plough and various others!

WEEK 2: Your child will learn STEM and Programming concepts and will be challenged to build up to eight (8) different motorized robotic and engineering models using patented building and programming kits. While building and programming these models, students will develop logical thinking ability and will learn various engineering concepts like gear transmissions, science behind rhythm, vibration and various others. FencingGet pumped and primed for the year end, Spring Fencing Championship.* Coaches will also hold an in-class tournament toward the end of the session. Each {YEL!} fencing class follows four basic components:

• Teach It!…Hall of Fame Olympic Fencing Coach Ro Sobalvarro crafts our lessons and curriculum.

• Practice It!…Students pair up and practice the fencing move or concept, rotate partners and repeat.

• Move It!…Students then participate in fencing matches using only the moves taught so far.

• Play It!…10-15 minutes each class students fence with multiple fencers at their skill level.

PLAYSchool Of Fish with Mike FrischGrades 3-up Back by popular demand, we are excited to welcome back School of Fish. This fishing class is for kids (and adults!) and is taught by pro angler & television show host Mike Frisch. Participants learn about lakes, finding fish in those lakes and some great ways to catch them. They also learn to tie a fishing knot and rig and use a slip-bobber setup. ACT Prep Courses with Advantage Educational Programs

Advantage Educational Programs gives students the option of preparing for the ACT exam in three different ways: the In-School ACT Preparatory Course, the Virtual ACT Preparatory Course, or the Online ACT Preparatory Course. All three courses are designed for students who want to maximize their ACT exam score, as well as those who feel uneasy about their test-taking skills or who have taken the exam and aren't satisfied with their results. In-School ACT Preparatory CourseThis course consists of four, three-hour classes that meet one day each week. The course includes diagnostic testing, instruction in time management, overcoming test anxiety, science reasoning, English strategies and review, essay writing, reading comprehension, and math strategies and review. Students enrolled in these classes not only benefit from personal instruction taught by our experienced instructors, but also have free access to our online course. Virtual ACT Preparatory CourseThis course is an excellent alternative for any student unable to attend an in-school class, but still prefers the interaction with one of our Advantage instructors.
