Can I use my Electronic Devices in Korea?

2 Things to consider:

Voltage: In the US, the voltage is typically 110-120. In Korea, the voltage is 220V.Plug Shape: Plugs in the US usually have 2 flat pins. In Korea, the plug shape is round, therefore you need an adaptor in order to use your device.

Things to bring with you

Toiletries: Toothpaste, toothbrush, shower foam, shampoo, and shower towels are all you need. Understand that for most Toiletries and Personal grooming Supplies, you can purchase them in Seoul, lower the weight and save the extra room in your bags for other items you may want to return home with. Simply allow for the extra money ($30 or $40 for a month of supplies) and purchase them in Seoul.

Medical Supplies: Be sure to bring any necessary prescriptions, allergy medicine, aspirin, etc with you.

Things to bring with you- Summer clothing, light jacket, sunglasses

- One set of dressy casual attire

- If you are planning on enjoying the beach while we are there, pack a swimsuit

- Also, remember that you will need comfortable sneakers or plain canvas shoes to protect your feet, we will be doing A LOT of walking.

-Don't wear heels and sandals as they will lead to unnecessary wear and tear on your feet in Seoul and on long walking trips.

The weather in the summer in Seoul is very similar to New York:

Seoul has such advanced infrastructure that it’s been offering cellphone service, 3G, and Wifi on all Seoul metro rides and stations. Basically what that means is: In Seoul, you are always connected!

In Korea, there are free wifi hotspots everywhere you go including places like: Starbucks, McDonald’s, and many more.

2) Multi-language Announcements

Tourists should certainly love the Seoul subways. The English, Japanese and Chinese announcements are always super helpful. Not all Seoul subway stops are announced in these other languages, but most tourist destinations are.
