One day, Nala was laying around bored of Jungle life and so

went in search of an adventure.

She wanted to travel the world and be the first lion cub in her pack

to leave the environment of the African jungle.

She was sure her mother, Sarafina,

would say that she was too young to

become an adventurer.

If Nala had her own way,

she would buy herself a

round-the-world ticket and

hop on the next plane to

begin her adventure.

But apparently, lions did not go on airplanes or adventures

Eiffel Tower, Paris.

Pyramids, Egypt.Taj Mahal, India.

The Alps, Switzerland.Opera house, Sydney.

And so Nala had to use her imagination to think about theplaces around the world that she would visit.

Instead, Nala decided to create her own fun adventure without

having to leave the Jungle.

She would become an explorer!!

She would need an explorer hat.

And explorer binoculars.

When she was ready, Nala

creeped through the longswaying reeds to see what

she would find

She foung a penguin named

Waddles!

Waddles told Nala that he

had run away from his

home in Antarctica so that

he could go explore the

world.

My mummy and daddy are

very protective and forbid me

to leave our Rookery so that I

would always be safe.

I loved living with my friends

but I knew I had to leave and

explore to be truly happy.

So one day I took off and started

swimming North without telling

anyone where I was going.

And I ended up here in this hot African Jungle!

Nala could tell that Waddles felt sad and lonely and wandered if

she would feel the same if she were all alone in a strange place.

She decided she would take Waddles to see her mum so that she couldhelp Waddles find his way back to the ocean so that he could swim home.

Nala wanted to cheer Waddles up and so she lead him along

a rocky path so that she could show some pretty flowers

and a beautiful lake.

Waddles loved them so much that he took a picture to show his

friends when he got home.

She asked her wise friend Rafiki to show Waddles

the way back to the ocean so that he could goand be with his family.

When they arrived, Sarafina knew exactly how to get Waddles home.

Waddles thanked Nala for being such a good

friend and said that she should come and

visit him one day in Antarctica.

Nala and Sarafina watched Waddles and Rafiki walk off into

the distance, and Nala realised how much she appreciated

having her mum to look after her. She loved the idea of

adventure, but for now, she would be happy exploring thejungleafter all, you never know who you might meet!
