Explorer activities can include:

• CommunityService

• Ride-AlongswithOfficers

• TrafficStops

• BuildingSearches

• ReportWriting

• Investigations

• CrimeSceneInvestigation

• DispatchSit-Along

sparks police Explorers are challenged to learn and perform many duties of a police officer during their training. There are opportunities for Explorers to compete several times annually to demonstrate their abilities. They perform the skills they have learned (such as traffic stops, building searches, marksmanship, arrests, etc.) usually in the form of scenarios. They compete against fellow explorers from the region, across the country, and sometimes from around the world.
