Pipeline Respite Supported Holidays and Tours was established in 1990 to cater for the recreational and relaxation holiday needs of people with an intellectual disability, providing "excursion" style tours to destinations along the east coast of Australia.

Today, Pipeline Holidays offers a comprehensive range of exciting fully escorted assisted care group holidays to the most popular destinations in Australia and around the world...

Pipeline Holidays is a family owned and operated company. The directors, Jason and Kerrie Thomas-Webb, who have between them over 30 years experience within the disability sector. We are currently applying for NDIS in most states and will be transitioning to NDIS funding support for our clients over the next twelve months.

Our holidays are geared towards over 18’s with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, are medium paced and require moderate mobility due to the activities we participate in. It is most important we discuss your needs prior to joining your first Pipeline Holiday to ensure a particular holiday style suits you.

Our goal is simple - Through individual care and support; provide memorable and fun holidays to exciting destinations in a safe and caring environment!

Responsible for your money, medication, meeting you, personal care needs, medical needs, driving, caring for you, making sure YOU are getting the most out of your holiday.

Well PIPELINE IS A FAMILY RUN BUSINESS, we are not funded by the government, we are not a charity and receive no funding from any outside parties.

We do not hire any contract staff, Volunteers or inexperienced workers and after the 22 years we have been operating, you are always greeted by a reassuring, consistent familiar face.

We offer the small group tours that you ask for, as well as the attention you deserve by always being the ones travelling with you.

One of the most important factors for those who choose to take a Pipeline holiday is in the confidence they feel that we, the people charged with their care, understand their needs and have their best interest at heart!

A Pipeline holiday provides our tour participants with 24 hour assisted care. This incorporates all aspects of individual attendant care needs, from looking after holiday spending money to special dietary requirements and administering medication; all managed by, and delivered under the supervision of trained staff.

We place great value in the individual care and support we provide our guests. We take the time to get to know each and every individual who comes away with us, and although we operate in a group environment, there is always plenty of one-on-one time to make sure people get the most out of every holiday.

We like to know what people do for fun, what music you listen to, who your favourite teams are and what movies you like; and try to include these in our holiday program whenever we can.

Price and service are important to everyone! We understand this, so it is important to us that our holidays remain great value for money that we provide you the best possible service we can.

All Pipeline Holidays are inclusive of transportation, accommodation, most meals, admission to attractions as per the itineraries and, of course, 24 hour assisted care from the beginning to the end of your holiday.

For our guests departing from regional centres who need support to fly to the nearest capital city, Pipeline staff can be organised to assist, however this is provided at an additional cost. You may also need to add extra days to either side of our indicated holiday dates to cater for these arrangements.

Alternatively, if you are comfortable travelling independently, meeting points are arranged in each of the capital cities shown above, we can arrange flights from regional centres to the primary holiday destination. Prices for these are on application and we aim to be flexible in assisting you with arrangements, so please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

Everyone wants to have fun when they are on holiday!

Fun begins with a youthful approach to life, the way you move through each day and the desire to find something fun or funny in every situation. Laughter is after all the medicine of the soul, and we think our souls are pretty healthy!

Our holidays, while not hectic, are packed with fun. We make the most out of every day and encourage holiday participants to do the same. As a result, people tend to experience things they may not normally do and always seem to come away enriched from their time on holiday.

While Pipeline Holidays provides an assisted care service, our most important function is to deliver great holidays!

So of course, we choose the most popular holiday destinations in Australia and around the World to include in our holiday program. Destinations are chosen by what’s on offer, its popularity with previous participants and for its value for money.

We use centrally located, fully self-contained apartments of a 3-4 star standard for the majority of our holidays, providing us great accessibility to attractions and enabling us to relax in comfort and prepare meals before, during and after the day’s activities.

This Year our domestic group holidays travel to New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

Our Domestic holidays take in the best of Australia. From watching the Australian Wallabies play international test rugby in Melbourne to travelling to great holiday destinations like Victoria and Sydney. Of course we travel to the Gold Coast several times a year visiting theme parks, beaches and national parks.

In 2018/2019 our overseas calendars includes USA, Bahamas, Canadian Rockies, UK, Ireland, Asian Cruise, Japan, Bali and Europe.

Cruises are very popular and in 2018/2019 we are pleased to offer a choice between a South Pacific Cruise a Disney cruise and an Asian Cruise so please book early to avoid disappointment.

However, we won’t let that stop you from having the holiday of your choice - when you want it!

Pipeline Holidays is not limited to providing you only our range of scheduled group holiday departures!

Perhaps you’re interested in arranging your own exclusive, fully escorted, assisted care group holiday with friends or work colleagues or you may want to attend a specific sporting or theatrical event but have been unsure of how to arrange it?

Pipeline Holidays can arrange specific group holidays, separate from our range of scheduled departures, providing you with flexibility in your holiday choices. If there is somewhere you and your friends want to travel to that we don’t already visit, let us know.

We are off to Melbourne then over to Philip Island to see the nights parade of the Fairy Penguins, we will also visit the Philip Island Grand Prix Racetrack with plenty of photo opportunities, we will have a great day in Melbourne & finish with the magnificent Melbourne Zoo and the Great Ocean Road.

Beijing is home to China's most famous historical sites and August (Autumn) is the most beautiful time in Beijing. A trip to the Great Wall is a must, as is a visit to the Forbidden City the largest palace in the world and home to 24 emperors in two dynasties. :: Your Itinerary :: Holiday DetailsDay 1: 25th October 2018Fly to the Gold Coast. The afternoon offers a chance to cool off in the resort pool whilst getting to know fellow travel companions with a poolside BBQ.

Day 2: Sea WorldToday we go to Sea World, see the seal show, the dolphin show and the stunt jet skiers plus see the polar bears, the dolphins, seals, penguins and take in some rides for the more adventurous.

Day 3: Surfers ParadiseToday we take in the sights and sounds of Surfers Paradise. We visit the world's best beach and the many local attractions, we will bargain hunt or simply browse the shopping arcades. After which we return to the resort where you have the option of playing some tennis or relaxing by the pool or at the beach.

Day 4: HinterlandToday we drive to the hinterland and see the gold coast and beaches from above. We drive through O’Reilly’s Plateau to bush walk through the Rainforest and have a picnic lunch.

Day 5: Currumbin Today we go to the Currumbin Bird Sanctuary to enjoy the Aboriginal Culture Show, feed the kangaroos, ride the train, feed the rainbow lorikeets and enjoy the Birds of Prey Show. Tonight we will have a farewell dinner to say goodbye to your new friends.

Day 6: 30th October 2018Depart Gold Coast for return flights to your home city.

If you are wanting a relaxing paced holiday, there is no better place than the Gold Coast in Spring.

We visit Sea World, Currumbin Bird Sanctuary and drive up to the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland.

At Seaworld we will be watching the polar bears penguins and seals and seeing the shows, and for the brave, experiencing the rides. We get amongst the beautiful Australian nature in the Gold Coast hinterland and finish with a day to remember visiting all the shows and live exhibits at Currumbin Bird and Wild Life Sanctuary.

Day 1: 6th November 2019Fly to the Gold Coast. The afternoon offers a chance to cool off in the resort pool whilst getting to know fellow travel companions with a poolside BBQ.

Day 2: Movie WorldWe discover the thrills at Movie World – one of Australia's best Theme Parks with rides, shows and fun for everyone, including behind the scenes of a real-live action ‘working’ movie set.

Day 3: Gold Coast HinterlandToday we drive to O'Reillys Plateau to bush walk through the Rainforest.

Our Christmas holiday is complete with our famous traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, a wonderful load of individual presents and a visit from Santa and his little helpers, as always, it will be a Christmas to remember!

Day 1: 23 December 2019 Flights are into Sydney to begin our Christmas holiday.

Day 2: Christmas We start the morning off with a day tour as applicable to the destination we are staying at before we decorate our Christmas tree in preparation for Christmas Eve dinner.

Day 3: HAPPY CHRISTMAS! It’s Christmas Day, time to relax, enjoy each others company and sit down to a sumptuous Christmas lunch, if we are lucky Santa might even pay us a visit, and if we have been really good, he may just have some gifts for us.

Day 4: Jindabyne Today we will take a day tour to one of the highlight areas of our destination.

Day 5: Sydney Depart Jindabyne for Sydney.

Day 6: Opera House We spend the day in, around, under and on top of Sydney! We visit the Sydney Opera House and The Rocks.

Day 7: Darling Harbour Today we explore Darling Harbour, visit the Power House Museum and pick up some bargains at Paddy’s Markets.

Day 8: Manly Beach Today we take a day trip to Manly Beach and have a tasty lunch of Fish and Chips on the beach. Tonight we will celebrate New Years Eve as we welcome in 2010.

Day 9: Northern Beaches Today we head to the Northern Beaches and we visit the home of everyone's favourite "HOME AND AWAY".

Day 10: Blue Mountains Today we take a day trip into the Blue Mountains and visit the famous Three Sisters.

Will a Pipeline holiday suit me?If you are looking to travel but have found it difficult due to your individual care and support needs, it is more than likely a Pipeline holiday will suit you. Pipeline holidays are medium paced and require moderate mobility due to the types of activities we enjoy while on tour. It is most important that we discuss your needs before you join a Pipeline holiday for the first time.

What is included in the price of a Pipeline holiday?Our holidays include all transportation while on tour, most meals with the exception of an occasional restaurant dinner or take-away meal in transit, accommodation and admission fees to theme parks, sporting events and full support of dedicated staff.

What is not included in the holiday price is personal items such as travel insurance, additional snacks, drinks, souvenir shopping, sunscreen and any other items of a personal nature.

How much spending money do I need?We recommend between $30 to $50 per day be set aside for spending money. Spending money can vary between tours and we offer approximations for each tour based on past experience.

Do I need Holiday Travel Insurance?You should be adequately insured for your Pipeline holiday. We strongly recommend you take comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage, money and public liability before you travel. You may not be accepted on a Pipeline holiday if you do not have satisfactory insurance coverage.

Can Pipeline Holidays organise my regional flights to get to meeting points?Of course, and this is actually preferable. As we arrange the groups flights to the holiday destination, we can then make sure the timings fit nicely for you to be met at the airport on arrival. And we are experienced at getting you the best fare possible.

Who is responsible for my personal belongings?You Are. While Pipeline staff take every precaution to ensure that you return home with what you left with, we are not liable for reimbursement of lost property of any kind.

What happens if it rains on holidays?With the exception of potentially getting a little damp, our tours continue as planned. Some activities get rescheduled where possible, if not, alternative indoor activities are used and the fun continues! We recommend that everyone joining a Pipeline holiday bring a water resistant poncho or similar clothing to keep out the water if we are unlucky enough to experience some wet weather on tour!

When are we advised of pick-up times?Sometimes we get late bookings or cancellations that can impact on pick-up times. For that reason we leave it to the weeks leading up to the tour commencement to advise pick-up times and meeting points.

Can I drink alcohol on a tour?All Pipeline holidays are alcohol free. This is due to the varying medical circumstances of our group participants. Limited exceptions to this rule are only made with express written permission prior to commencement of a tour, and then only takes place under the supervision of our directors.

Behavioural expectations.The safety and comfort of all of our group participants is of the utmost importance to us and will not be compromised under any circumstances. Any behaviour that is deemed by us as being unacceptable, thereby impacting on the enjoyment, comfort and safety of others within the group, may result in that person being removed from the tour and sent home early at their own expense. In such instances, the tour price paid will not be refunded.

Can I bring a Carer or family member with me on a Pipeline holiday?No, dedicated and caring staff are provided by Pipeline for all of our holidays. If you wish to take your own carer or family member, a private holiday may be more suitable and cost effective for you. We will be happy to offer you advice.

Can I meet up with a relative for a few hours who lives where we are going? Short periods can be difficult when we are in a group environment and have set schedules and activities organised. A full day with friends or relatives, not impeding on the activities of the day for the group as a whole, is preferable. This needs to be approved & arranged prior to the commencement of the holiday.

1. Booking Application Forms must be signed by the applicant, applicant's next of kin, legal guardian or carer. 2. Medical Consent Form as contained in Pipeline Holidays Holiday Booking Application Form must be signed by the applicant, applicant's next of kin, legal guardian or carer.3. All applications are subject to acceptance by Pipeline Holidays based on accurate information provided on the application form.4. A deposit of $450 is required before holiday applicants can be confirmed. Deposits must be paid within one month of booking or immediately if within 45 days prior to commencement of the holiday. Deposits are the first instalment of the total holiday cost.5. Full holiday payment must be received by Pipeline Holidays at least 35 days prior to commencement of holiday, or as required or specific holidays where a third party supplier requires payment for services such as air travel and accommodation reservations.6. Cancellation charges apply if holiday is cancelled within: 1 to 15 days prior to commencement of holiday. 100% of holiday cost 15 to 45 days prior to commencement. Deposit + any other expenses incurred * Deposit forfeited if Christmas and January are cancelled within 60 days of commencement of holiday.7. Pipeline Holidays tour guests are advised to take out travel insurance as a component of participating in holiday travel. This measure is primarily to provide protection for the holiday participant against cancellation expenses of third party suppliers, such as airlines and accommodation providers, should the need arise to cancel their holiday due to unforeseen circumstances.8. Pipeline Holidays reserves the right to alter holiday costs if necessary, with or without notice. Changes to holiday costs will only be made if real additional costs have been incurred by Pipeline Holidays. Holiday prices shown are subject to airfare availability in the relevant booking classes the holiday price is constructed using. If no seats are available an alternative airfare will be offered.9. Holiday costs include: Personal care and full support, airfares (if applicable), accommodation, transport during holiday, most meals, entrance fees to tourist attractions, activities and events.

10. Holiday costs do not include: Personal spending money, extraordinary medical supplies, travel insurance and some meals when in transit.11. Pipeline Holidays reserve the right to alter or modify itineraries and dates as deemed necessary according to prevailing conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control as may arise on any holiday. 12. Pipeline Holidays reserve the right to cancel a holiday if minimum participation numbers have not been attained. In such circumstances all monies paid will be refunded to the applicant, or transferred to an alternative holiday.13. If an application is misleading and/or a holiday guest displays negative behaviour, not discernable from the application form, which as a result detracts from the comfort and safety of others or the overall operation of the group holiday, the applicant may be sent home early. In such an event, the applicant and/or guardian will bear the full cost of the guests return. Holiday monies paid will not be refunded should such a circumstance arise.14. If assistance is required with medication, sufficient medication for the duration of the holiday must be handed to our staff prior to the holiday.15. Pipeline Holidays will assist with care of personal spending money if applicant requires such assistance. We will provide an overall receipt for spending money used however itemised accounts cannot, logistically, be provided.16. Holiday guests are asked to adhere to the luggage limits as stipulated for carriage by relevant airlines. Additional luggage must be arranged prior to commencement of the holiday, any additional charges will be the responsibility of the participant.17. Holiday participants are liable for any damage to property or persons they may cause during a holiday.18. Pipeline Holidays may take images or video during the holiday and reserve the right to use these in promotional material unless requested otherwise by the holiday participant.19. All personal belongings remain the responsibility of the participant. Pipeline Holidays are not liable for the cost of replacement for lost or damaged personal belongings. We do not recommend participants bring any unnecessary items of value with them.

How to book your holiday...

Clearly label ALL of your personal belongings, including medical equipment. While every care is taken to keep items together, occasionally they can be misplaced.

Bring a wet weather Poncho or similar wet weather clothing - it’s worth it!

Protection from the sun is critical. Please pack sunscreen, hats and protective clothing.

Spending money on tour is primarily for souvenirs and snacks. Small notes are easier to manage. Please only bring what is expected to be spent, check with us for guidelines.

Special dietary needs can be catered for, please discuss your requirements with us.

Pipeline advises not to bring unnecessary items of value on holiday, the security of such items remains your responsibility. Pipeline can accept no liability for damaged or lost property.

If you require assistance with medication, please ensure it is clearly labelled in a dose pack and that medication is handed directly to Pipeline Holidays staff at the start of the holiday.

Washing of clothes is kept to a minimum on tour - a washing day is a wasted day! Try to pack enough clothes for the duration of the holiday, a washing bag is a good idea
