PARISH UPDATES FOR SEPTEMBER 2020
KNIGHTS KORNER (COUNCIL 11729)
With the end of summer fast
approaching and a new school year
upon us, our Council is busy
planning for the new fraternal year.
With Covid-19 still among us, many
of our usual activities will probably
be curtailed or cancelled unless we can safely
conduct them.
With this in mind, we are looking for new members
to join our group and bring new ideas forward. If
you ever wondered what the Knights of Columbus
stand for and what we do, please access the Knights
of Columbus website kofc.org/join. Here you will
discover our Legacy of Faith and Service and see
examples of this. Having reviewed this information,
if you are interested in joining you can do so by
clicking on the “JOIN TODAY” button. For a limited
time, you can join for free by entering the
code “MCGIVNEY2020” to take advantage of this
special offer.
We look forward to working with new members in
serving our neighbors and in living out Father
McGivney’s vision.

LIVING THE GOSPEL BY SHARING OUR BLESSINGS
With churches closed at the start of the 2020 ShareLife Campaign, our ShareLife Sunday collections were delayed. In the meantime, the challenges faced by the people helped by ShareLife-funded agencies have only increased. “The needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ are greater than ever before," says Cardinal Thomas Collins. "In order for ShareLife agencies to continue their vital work, it is crucial we meet our parish campaign goal of $13.8 million. Our goal can be met, but only with your help.”
September 13 is ShareLife Sunday. Please give generously.
SHARELIFE HAS A FRESH NEW WEBSITE

Update: The ShareLife Sunday
collections are scheduled for the
weekends of September 12/13,
October 10/11, and November 7/8
You can also give to your parish’s ShareLife campaign securely online.
ShareLife is more than a parish collection. It is how we, as a Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Toronto, bring the hands of Christ to those in need. Over 40 ShareLife agencies serve tens of thousands of people locally and countless more around the world, regardless of religious affiliation. Given the growing needs in our communities, it is crucial we meet our 2020 Parish Campaign goal of $13.8 million. By reaching this goal, our agencies will continue to: offer walk-in counselling to those facing mental
health issues
help victims of domestic violence
ensure isolated seniors are not forgotten
deliver food to children in developing countries
form priests and deacons who will minister in our parishes
Boxes can now be dropped off
when you come to Church or at
the parish office during office
hours, we thank you for your
support.
