KEMEX-OIL SPILL DISPERSANT
DESCRIPTION Kemex OSD 1101 is a type III water based Concentrate
liquid . It is a combination of surfactants , solvent &
stabilizer, they do not destroy the oil but helps in the natural
dispersion of oil that effects the dispersant under very specific
condition like depth of water, atmospheric conditions & sea
state. The quantity of Dispersant to be used will depend on the
amount & nature of oil spilled & the prevailing
environmental Condition all these factors will have a great effect
on the success of chemical dispersion. Kemex OSD1101 was tested for
its efficiency ,stability & toxicity using Bombay High Crude
oil(BHCO) Its applied oil spilled on water they interface in such
way that the interfacial tension between oil & water Is reduced
.This promotes the formation of finely dispersed oil droplets with
a combined surface area Much greater than the original oil Slick,
Efficiency index calculated by using BHCO Crude oil in Sea water
And the freshwater both are almost Similar, Kemex-OSD 1101 was more
efficient in diluted form that Means dilution did not make it less
efficient, therefore, the product can be said to be cost-effective
Kemex OSD-1101 having good emulsion stability in BHCO Crude oil.
Kemex OSD -1101 diluted was practically non toxic.

As per NIO gives maximum efficiency achieved at 1:10(Dispersants to
oil Ratio) using BHCO (crude oil) It is suitable for fresh water
& Tap water . it applied by using special type equipments &
also trained people know the proper application method. it Cant be
suitable for all type of oil or hydrocarbon fuel depends on nature
or compound mix in oil
ECO-PROPERTIES . Kemex OSD-1101 is environmental friendly. it is
non toxic & biodegradable . .Toxicity (LC50 ) after 96hours-
9800ppm (practically Non toxic)
