NEW OPERATION
INTRA-STATE SHORT SEA SHIPPING AGREEMENT
Intra-State Short Sea Shipping on containers betweenNIT/PMT/NNMT/APM/LPD/RICHMOND, or any facility within theCommonwealth of Virginia,
There shall be only one (1) shift for this operation; i.e., from point oforigination, to another in-harbor terminal. (Gangs will alternateshifting, geographically, from Newport News to Norfolk orPortsmouth and/or, conversely from Norfolk or Portsmouth, toNewport News.)
Richmond, or any other facility in the Commonwealth of Virginia,will provide their own labor.
This Agreement shall be confined strictly to intra-state (Virginia),and is intended not to extend into any existing Local PortAgreements.
Gangs shall not travel from one geographical jurisdiction toanother except one (1) time. (NITIPMTINNMT/APMILPD, but not toinclude Richmond or any other facility),
Minimum Gang Size
a. Hatch Bossb. Gangwaymanc. Working Dock Headerd. 2 Slingerse. 1 Longshoremanf. 2 Driversg. 2 Crane Operatorsh. Foremani. 1 Clerk/Checkerj . Timekeeperk. Gearman/Mechanic
3. If required, inspections shall be performed by Local 1970.
This Intra-State Short Sea Shipping Agreement shall be reviewedon an on-going basis as problems arise and/or conditions change.
If or when the Master Contract between United States MaritimeAlliance, Ltd. and International Longshoremen's Association, AFL-CIO agree to a Short Sea Shipping provision, this Agreement willbe null and void or changes will be made to conform to the MasterContract Agreement.
