I hope that everyone is having a great summer, and that you find a little time to relax with a vacation during this busy construction season. I also hope that everybody is being safe out there and taking the necessary precautions to deal with the high temperatures and sun.
I want to thank the Spring Conference Planning Committee and the City of Dodge City for planning and hosting an exceptional conference. The Golf and Scholarship Auction Committees also put on great events during the conference and raised funds for a wonderful cause. Please put it on your calendar now and plan to attend the 2019 Spring Conference in Salina.
PWX is in Kansas City this year, so I hope that you will be able to attend. Please sign up for our Chapter Dinner on Tuesday, August 28. I still have Free One Day Expo Passes for first three people to email me with their vote for the best APWA KS Chapter President. If you have a passion for sustainability, your Kansas Chapter is looking for someone to get involved and participate in the APWA Center for Sustainability’s quarterly liaison calls. Please let me know if you’d be interested in participating in this.
Thanks for being a member of APWA, and I look forward to seeing you at PWX and at our Fall Meeting in Topeka. Please, contact me if you have any questions or would like to get more involved with your APWA Chapter at [email protected] or by phone at 785-537-8467.Nathan Bergman
