Annual Briefing on CAP Nondiscrimination Policy

CAPR 36-1 states “It is Civil Air Patrol policy that no member shall be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination in any CAP program or activity on the basis of race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, or disability (formerly handicap). It is Civil Air Patrol policy that no applicant meeting CAP’s minimum age requirement will be denied membership in CAP on the basis of race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin, or disability (formerly handicap).”

Issues/Fixes• Updated all NMWG Supplements and OIs and

brought the formatting in line with the newly released CAPR 5-4, 30 Mar 2012

• Still finalizing and updating all NMW Forms in preparation for the upcoming SAV

• Created an Excel template that can be used by Wing / Squadrons in creating File Plans. This will be shared during the Staff meeting, today

24 Mar 2012 Administrative Officer training• Phone conversations w/ CC of NM085 in

Edgewood• Several phone contacts with SWR DA• Many phone calls / emails to the various directors

to update Supplements, OIs and Forms

Planned Activities• As a result of demand, will conduct a part 2 of the

Administrative Officer training for those individuals who participated in the 24 March training

• Will finish forwarding the updated NMWG Supplements and Operating Instructions to SWR/DA for recording

• Will work with our Webmaster to get all of the updates posted to the NMWG website

Recent Activities• Have completed updating all of the NMWG

Supplements and OIs in preparation for the upcoming SAV

• Conducted an Administrative Officer training on 24 Mar 2012 with 10 persons participating

• Updated and published the April 2012 NMWG Rosters and 2012 FY Calendar

• Discussed with Webmaster many needed updates/corrections to the NMW website
